| Hi all,
how is the total coeficiant of one year determined?
I mean 10/3 (10 Points, 3 teams)
Is the result 3.333 or is there some rounding?

| Beside this is this correct?
1. In the 3 first qualification round in CL and
2 first qualification rounds in UEFA Cup the
points for the country ranking will be halfed
2. For reaching the group stage of CL there are 3
points additionally
3. For reaching the round after group stage of CL
there is 1 point additionally
4. For UEFA Cup there are no additionally points for
the group stage and the round after it
5. In CL and UEFA Cup there is one additionally point
for reaching quarter final, semi final or final
Is this all right? Thanks for any hints

| I believe you're 100% correct on everything; the coefficient is indeed carried to three decimal places with no rounding (I read that once here in the Forum). This will be a fun year to play with the coefficients. |

| There is no rounding. The score is trunkated after the third decimal.
So if your country achieves 10 points with three teams for three years, the score will be: 3.333+3.333+3.333 = 9.999
Another country achieves 8, 8 and 14 points with three teams. The score will be: 2,666+2,666+4,666 = 9.998
A third country achieves 9, 9 and 12 pointw with three teams. The score will be: 3,000+3,000+4,000 = 10,000
All three countries have achieved the same total score over three years, still they rank differently. The method is mathematically uncorrect, but i guess its practical. Notice that the teams would still rank differently if you introduced rounding, only in a different order. |
