| In an article in a renowned newspaper in Norway, Nor FA's (NFF's)information secretary claimed following:
http://fotball.bt.no/nyhetsarkiv/article.jhtml;jsessionid=IHVOARFYENI5NQFIMUDCFEQ?articleID=68495
Translation: Roger Solheim, NFF's information secretary, say that Norway may get two teams next season in CLQ. Those who have calculated on this mean that there is a chance, but this will be more consistent closer to Christmas. We had 17th place last year, but may get 15th this year. Meaning that if we get two teams in CLQ next season, we will have five places in Europacup, because amount of teams in CLQ do not affect amount of teams in UC.
Like Einstein said: "Two things are infinite, the universe and man's ignorance". I don't like to ridicule my fellow Norwegians, but holymaloney, is it possible to be so desinformed??? Thanks to Forum contributor brannbergen for hinting me on this article.
We (UEFA?) have a long way to go to get out to the masses, guys |

| Well, Anita you can always count on those who should know to make a mess of the facts. When the World Cup qualifying draw was made, Colin hendry urged Scotland to go for the best 3rd place runners up spot. (If that existed we wouldnt have a problem!)
Speaking of which, 4 days till Scotland vs Norway, eh, Anita? I cant wait. Should be good game, but I think we'll shade it 1-0. Well, in our state i'll take 1-0 right now, even if we score in the first ten seconds and Norway dominate the rest of the game.
May the best (home) team win! |

| At least Hendrie was just a football player, not head of information in FA. Good player, btw. Comes to Scotland-Norway, looking at the players and teams and form, knowing that both teams may be satisfied with a draw, we should be in for the lousiest, most boring football match since Norway played Ireland 0-0 in WC-94.
So my guess will be an exciting game with lots of splendid individual performances, with the result 3-2 or 2-3 ? Right, while we wait for Santa |

| Would have thought so,vakho. But I received an e-mail from him today where he claim nothing is official yet, because he has not received a confirmation from UEFA. Will come around 15th October, he wrote. And halfway turn down my attached lists and references (to UEFA regulations) as 'unofficial' and 'speculations'.
I have written back to him emphasizing that official confirmation is not the point at all. With no confirmation (or 'early warning') you presume that everything is like it used to be, not the phantasy porridge he allegedly said. But maybe he is still drunk |
