Re: Euro 2024 Group A: Germany - Scotland - Hungary - Switzerland

I guess I'm not a sensible person. :) I expect Hungary to finish bottom of this group based on the comparison where Scottish and Hungarian players perform week in, week out. :grin1: Every sensible neutral, I guess! Hungary I expect to win comfortably against us but I'll happily take the reverse!

Re: Euro 2024 Group F: Türkiye - Georgia - Portugal - Czechia

I haven't mentioned Portugal, who have insane riches in their team, although if they do bring back Ronaldo for the tournament that'll be annoying. Ronaldo never left, so they wouldn't be bringing him back. And he's carried on banging in goals for them, so I expect they'll call him, he's given them ...

Re: Euro 2024 Group B: Spain - Croatia - Italy - Albania

Since the last time they made the Euros, Albania now have a number of players playing regular football in the major leagues, which could turn this into the proper Group of Death. Spain - on their day, unstoppable. On other days, the most charitable of all major nations. Italy - Where's the attackers...

Re: Euro 2024 Group D: Poland - Netherlands - Austria - France

In the qualifers, France gubbed them True but keep in mind that in both games the Netherlands had a lot of absentees and played with a mixed team (B-team). In my opinion France will struggle in this group. tbf I thought the same at the World Cup with your number of injuries to key players, only for...

Re: Euro 2024 Group F: Türkiye - Georgia - Portugal - Czechia

This is an incredibly difficult group to predict, because besides Portugal (who should win it), the other three teams all have players who could make a difference, but equally, are all sides you could easily see finishing bottom of their group. However, if you are a believer in curious coincidences,...

Re: Euro 2024 Group C: Slovenia - Denmark - Serbia - England

Prediction 1. Denmark 2. England 3. Serbia 4. Slovenia Slovenia I feel are easily the weakest side of the three, sorry. Serbia are a fun side to watch, but they have more holes than Swiss cheese in their defence. Denmark/England games tend to be close, and I feel the Danes are due a result (though t...

Re: Euro 2024 Group D: Poland - Netherlands - Austria - France

This is a fascinating group. You've got the best side in Europe, one of the heavyweights who have underperformed in trophies, the hipster favourite (who is the same hipster favourite as 2016, which is a bit of a warning), and the team with all those great players who never seem to turn it on at majo...

Re: Euro 2024 Group A: Germany - Scotland - Hungary - Switzerland

I am stunningly chilled about this group. Every sensible person expects Scotland to finish bottom of this group, so there is no pressure whatsoever, whereas in Group E I'd expect us to get stage fright. Prediction 1. Germany 2. Hungary 3. Switzerland 4. Scotland Germany have home advantage, and the ...

Thistle will avoid relegation this year, which looked doubtful in the summer there.

Re: LaLiga 2023-2024 (First Division)

Good luck Rayo! Hadn't realised your lads weren't in a comfortable spot yet. (I do still pop in now and then though I'm a bit burned out by football after Thistle's 3-0 up capitulation in the playoff final last summer. Hopefully Euro 2024 will bring it back, though I have been watching the CL/EL stu...

Great result for Aberdeen. Did well in a tough group, useful experience if they use it.

Re: UEFA Euro 2024

Germany are favourites even when weakened, but Scotland raise their game against bigger opponents. Still, looking forward to games, even if the threat of gubbings exist, is far, far, far better than not qualifying for the bloody tournament.
