Re: 2023/24 Champions League quarter-finals, semi-finals and final
I feared an all oil final at Wembley. Now we just need Dortmund to make it a no oil final. To be honest I think a Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund final would be wonderful, with Dortmund getting the shock win. Might be a lot ask though. One way or another I think PSG will still bottle this as they us...

Re: 2023/24 Champions League quarter-finals, semi-finals and final
Actually PSG dominated Barcelona even when they had 11 players on field. I still think that comeback would have been done by PSG. What game were you watching? PSG far from dominated and actually at 11 v 11 the game was quite even. Barcelona scroed and looked quite comfortable to be honest. Could ha...

Re: 2023/2024 Europa League Round of 16
4 out of 8 from the previous round. Very average. Got Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen (easy ones), Roma and West Ham and missed Milan, Atalanta, Benfica and Marseille.

Re: EURO 2024 - qualifiers
Well that wasn't great for the heart rate but thankfully Poland made it through, just. Not a great match although fairly even I would say. If Poland went out though they couldn't complain as they didn't manage a proper shot on target in 2 hours of football. Statistically they had 2 shots on target b...

Re: Coach Transfers
Oh come on man. He was pushed out. Perhaps he was not sacked officially with the headline reading 'Hodgson sacked' but he was pushed out and his health problems was used as an excuse to get rid of him. If he was about to get fired due to bad results then he was basically pushed to step down at the p...

Re: EURO 2024 - qualifiers
Not overly confident about Poland's chance in these play offs. This is a very good time to play them. They also have a coach who is only the coach because he is friends with the head of the FA. Despite this they should be advancing against Estonia (emphasis on should be) although even that could be ...

Re: Coach Transfers
Speaking of England the Roy Hodsgon firing was also a bit disgraceful. Wasn't he in hospital when they informed him he was fired? He wasn't fired, he resigned exacty due to his health issues. Nope he was fired. He even released a statement after saying he understands that due to his health situatio...

Re: 2023/2024 Conference League Round of 16
I don't know much about the Olympiakos chairman but his move to give the manager another contract for more time right after losing 1-4 at home to Maccabi Tel Aviv, saying he wasn't to be blamed and the players had to buck up their ideas. Well they certainly did that

Re: 2023/2024 Europa League Round of 16
Can't believe Qarabag had a 2 goal lead in both games and then conceded late on because of Schick both times. This time they conceded a 3rd but even if they had not I doubt they would have survived with a man disadvantage at Leverkusen.

Qarabag take a shock 1-0 lead, that's how it's going.

Re: 2023-24 Champions League: Round of 16
It isn't about being happy or sad. I said I got 8 out of 8 which isn't bad although some ties were easy to predict. I have not commented on my prediction result with the other two competitions in this round because the ties are not over yet. Last round my predictions were not great.

Don't forget Roma seem to be resting quite a few first teamers tonight so Brighton would be expected to be the better team.

Re: 2023/2024 Europa League Round of 16
Just a few comments on an earlier match. Such a shame Slavia Prague were a man down again. Was the rec card fair for anyone who watched it? I wonder if 11 vs 11 would have been a much closer tie overall.
