Malko, no need to ask the same question every month.
Don't worry, if PSG are able to defeat Chelsea (especially if they do it twice), they'll be in the top 10 next month.

Real Madrid isn't in the top 10, Real Madrid took 4 points (out of 6) against PSG, so ? Lyonnais' ranking doesn't have an intrinsic value before the end of the season. What's the key performances of PSG ? Playing against teams outside the top 20 ?

Leicester have proved themselves against Chelsea, City, United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and more and got on top of Premier League so far. They aren't even in top 20?

PSG moved into the top ten--probably has lots to do with their win over Chelsea in the CL. Lester hasn't played anybody in Europe. I notice that most "complaints" about this European ranking have to do with something like "this team has done great, how come they're not in the top . . ." You fill in the number. The answer could be that "everybody ranked here has simply gotten more points."

Perhaps Lyonnais would give us a point total for Lester :?: Pierre, s'il vous plait.

Porto are in top 20 and are having a pretty bad season. Eliminated by Dinamo Kiev in UCL GS, eliminated by Dortmund in EL Last 32, third in Portuguese League behind Sporting and Benfica. Do they deserve better ranking than Leicester because they have beaten Chelsea once and Benfica twice?

I don't think this is a question of what a team "deserves." Lyonnais fashioned this ranking system; he defines his terms for ranking and sticks to them. It isn't necessarily accurate, just as no other ranking system is necessarily accurate, but I find it interesting and fun to follow (maybe because so many Spanish teams are "up there," hah :!:

Well I remember the year one website ranked my Rayo very high in Europe as they won their first five games. I knew reality would set in soon . . . Reality has that tendency, you know.

I'll betcha Lester starts appearing on Lyonnais's ranking if they continue to win, proving they're not a flash in the pan.

Anyway, this is all "hot stove league" stuff; it gives us talking points, and AIN"T IT FUN :!: :!: :D :D :D

Wow, man, it is what it is, just like fútbol itself. Try not to take it hard when I tell you that I find Lyonnais's ranking a wee bit more interesting than yours. :rollfloor: :rollfloor: :rollfloor:

You know, I don't think Lester gives a rat's rear end about not appearing on Lyonnais's ranking . . .

Lyonnais' ranking are based on math, so I guess it can't really be wrong.

As I see it, it got 2 minor problems though, as I understand it (sorry if I am wrong)
1. The points are based on winning only and those against the top teams. So if you win against Chelsea and loose to Stoke you would have way better points, then opposite.
2. It is based on UEFAs ranking list, which is not accurate.
And as their are more teams with UEFA points in Spain then in Scotland, it will be harder to make the list as a Scottish club then a Spanish.

With this said, I can't come up with a better list or any ideas to solve it.
And I will also give cadeou to Lyonais for making this interest list :D

Leicester are currently 23rd with 741 pts.
As far as I know they haven't defeated Arsenal nor United.
and sorry to say that coefficient wise Liverpool doesn't represent much (17.8 pts, i.e. a win is worth 53.4 pts)

Generally speaking I absolutely agree that this ranking is certainly not perfect, but I tend to think that it can be interesting.
But the most important in my opinion is that I have fun doing it.

Sorry to say that moustache wise, beating Bayern Munchen doesn't represent much, because neither Neuer, Javi Martinez, Rafinha, Alaba, Thiago, Robben, Douglas Costa, Lham, Vidal, Müller or Lewandowski wear a moustache. Due to Xabi Alonso and Boateng wearing a beard that includes a moustache, beating Bayern Munchen is worth a total of 13,5 pts. :P
