I don't see the problem. MLS played during Copa America and so did Serie A in Brazil.
And the league of Iceland also played during Euro 2016.
These clubs knew that their players went to France and they knew the dates of the prelimps. And because there is no room on the calendar they start this early. I think the clubs are happy even to play in July, then not playing at all.
