Rubin Kazan with 4 loss in 4 matches. They were very very lucky to draw Rabotnicki. They should be a dream draw in pot 1!

As Metalist last year?
we should wait and see.

As for the league Dynamo Moscow looks set to be another anzhi 13(when they sale all team) and even Rubin 13(losing a lot of players).
Valbuena just left for Lyon only for 5 millions,lol....and others should go next.

Uefa Financialy Fair play, weak Ruble and foreign limit means a lot of problems for russian clubs nowadays to be competitive in europe, much more weak financialy than two years ago.

Rondon and Valbuena(in my opinion best player in the league) just left though Doumbia comes back for some months.

First four rounds show zenit, cska and spartak will fight for the title,Loko a outsider.Krasnodar looks more weak.Good start by Rostov.Dynamo likely the best they can do now is a top 8 finnish.Awful start by Rubin and Anzhi.

Krasnodar lost two key players. Shirokov returned to Spartak and Spartak new coach Alenichev sees him in the squad. Joaozinho broke his leg in spring game against Ural and still can not recover from this injury.

Seems that Rubin hasn't got any problems with money or squad quality but they play really awful. Sometimes seems the team doesn't want to play at all.

Rubin schedule in the first rounds is pretty awful.

Anyway Mawwerg situation now in russian and ukrainian clubs is pretty difficult.
Economic crisis is huge.

Dynamo Moscow and Dnipro in a completely turmoil now.

Strange to see Rubin at the wrong end of the table. Hopefully the sacking of their manager and president will have the desired effect and they start climbing up. This season might be lost, but Europe is important! Krylya Samara used to be my favourite team, would love to see them qualify for Europe, though they`ve disappointed twice already. They`ve beaten Alkmaar 5:3 in Samara and lost 3:1 away after leading 1:0! And then they went out vs. St.Patrick`s Athletic, losing 1:0 in Dublin and then leading 3:0 in the 2nd leg already, but shipped two goals in the last minutes and dropped out on the away goals rule! Both times had a devastating effect.

Goncharenko from Ural was also sacked. The reasons are unknown. So, there are two clubs without manager in RPL now.
