St Johnstone's 2-1 win over Dundee earlier prevents Michael's Thistle (TM) falling to the bottom of the league this week.Lorric wrote:
Rangers are at home vs Michael's Thistle next. Michael's Thistle, sounds like a Sunday League team.

A massive win for our Michael tonight, 2-0 away at relegation rival Dundee, and puts 4pts between them and Thistle up to 9th.
Celtic continue to be nigh unstoppable with a 4-0 away win at Ross County, while Aberdeen and Hearts both lost and Rangers and St. Johnstone drew, putting 2pts between Aberdeen in second and Rangers in 5th.

Our first win since 6th August! Very welcome.
League Cup final kicking off now.
Rogic scores for Celtic but its a fairly equal game. Nice strike.
Forrest with another clinical finish, 2-0 Celtic. They've got their shooting boots on. The kind of strikes players full of confidence make.
Penalty Celtic. Dembele scores.
Has an Old Firm team ever been so dominant? They're literally hammering someone domestically every other match. They've dropped 2 points.

Celtic are certainly cruising along this season - plus having gone out of Europe, and the new League Cup schedule meaning it's already finished, they now have only the Premiership and Scottish Cup to concentrate on for the rest of the season.
That said, I don't go in for the talk of them going the rest of the season unbeaten - 24 games left and still have to visit Ibrox twice, Tynecastle once, Pittodrie once, etc. Indeed 4 of their last 5 away league games were 3x 1-0 wins and 1x 2-2 draw, so it's likely to happen eventually.
Due to rearranged games they've an arduous 8 games in 28 days during December, too.

Yeah I think someone will get a win against them eventually. Even if it's due to the ref or having wrapped up the title early.
I like how tonight we immediatly go to the fourth round draw of the Scottish Cup.

So after having Rangers in the League Cup group stage then Celtic immediately afterwards, Motherwell get Rangers away here.

Celtic continue to defeat all in their path despite a punishing schedule of 9 games to play in December. So far, 4 wins and that draw at Manchester City. The last of these games is Rangers away. If Rangers can't do anything to Celtic under those conditions, home and only 6 December fixtures, I don't see much hope for them to be able to oppose Celtic this season without significant investment.
Rangers meanwhile are stringing results together now, and with their rivals dropping many points, they're breaking away from the rest.

I am bit surprised Celtic and Rangers are allowed to face each other 31 december.Lorric wrote:The last of these games is Rangers away.
How the "old firm" been lost, fans getting more calm or the police are just looking forward to a nice long day?
Celtic achieve perfection in December leading up to the Rangers game. Rangers had their 4 game winning streak ended tonight with a draw at St. Johnstone. Meanwhile, Michael's Thistle beat Dundee to move up to sixth!

5 days ago Partick Thistle were dead last (12th) in the relegation zone and now after 2 wins they're also last (6th), but in the championship zone!
