Russia Football Season 2016-17

Post by kleber »

So the russian season started last week end with zenit beating cska in the supercup.

League starts saturday and one of the big expectations for the season is Rubin Kazan, very good transfer market so far.

they realy want to return to the top 3 at least,i might put them behind only zenit and cska.

zenit
cska
rubin
krasnodar
spartak
lokomotiv
rostov
terek
anzhi

all this clubs have european cups ambitions at least,6-7 title ambitions, the top 9 in the league looks good on paper.

Spartak sacked Alenichev and Berdyev left Rostov. Nice start of the tournament. Away teams scored 0 times per 10 games.

Ufa 0-0 Zenit
Arsenal 1-0 Rubin

Rubin looks not good.

Dinamo, Tosno and Fakel have good start in FNL. Kuban under Petrescu is now 19th with 4 draws in 6 games.

Sad for Alenichev, FC Porto remembers!

Orenburg 0-1 CSKA (CSKA is not as strong team as it was last year. It's quite difficult to score without decent forwards)
Amkar 2-0 Anji
Lokomotiv 2-2 Tom
Rostov 0-0 Ural (Ural had one man advantage for about 70 minutes)

Zenit 3-2 Rostov

Rostov scored two times early(Lodygin and Zenit central defenders Neto and Garay played awfully). After Rostov controlled the game, but Gatskan was sent off before the break.

Berdyev sat upstairs in Rostov suit with a phone. 8) Commentator even suggested Berdyev will lead two clubs(Spartak and Rostov) together this season.

I see that Berdyev isn't at Spartak yet. Why he left Rostov then? Couldn't he wait at least the play-off against Ajax?

Why he left Rostov if he isn't Spartak manager yet? He had problem with Rostov dirigence? The team have economic problems?

Berdyev move have disappointed me a lot...

I can say only what I`ve read on a Russian site, no inside channel. Berdiyev gave ultimatun to the club months ago. Dire financial situation and he`s his own man, no puppet. I hoped he`s going back to Kazan, but it`s too late now.

Seems Berdyev can not reach an agreement with Spartak. So nobody can predict the end of this story. Now he is still in Rostov and consults.
