Belgian Football Season 2017-18
Belgian Football Season 2017-18
With the official regular season schedule coming out a week ago, the new season is fastly approaching. Several teams are buying players in preparation for what will be an enticing campaign coming up. I, like many, cannot wait to see who will be lifting the trophy in May, and representing Belgium in the 2018-19 European competitions.
RSC Anderlecht wins the Super Cup today coming from behind to defeat Zulte Waregem 2-1. Six days away from the start of the new campaign, and already a trophy for the Paars-Wit

I really don't understand where you found this. Except if you are a Buffalo fan
There're no reason to imagine a huge difference vs last year.

These are numbers from Het Nieuwsblad. A very reliable newspaper when it comes to Belgian football.
btw Gent announced a few years ago they will raise their budget anually until 45M

This is a will not a fact. I don't know where this money come from. Larger stadium ? New sponsor ? Better merchandising ? Higher TV revenues ?Gorandinho wrote: btw Gent announced a few years ago they will raise their budget anually until 45M
I think the answer is "no". So...

Its from their new stadium obviously. It was their businessplan to raise the budget to 45M based on projected income.
Anderlecht & Brugge could easily raise their budget to 60M if they build a new stadium.

Today kicks off the brand new season in the Jupiler Pro League, as Proximus League winners Antwerp host the defending Pro League champions Anderlecht. Quite the matchup in store for us. Who do you think will win this season? I still predict that Anderlecht will defend the title.
A disappointing 0-0 at the end of yesterday's match between Antwerp and Anderlecht. Today's matches are Lokeren-Club Brugge (18:00CET), KRC Genk-Waasland Beveren (20:00CET), KAS Eupen-Zulte Waregem (14:00CET), and Charleroi-Kortrijk (20:30CET).
Results:
Lokeren-Club Brugge 0:4
KRC Genk-Waasland Beveren 3:3
KAS Eupen-Zulte Waregem 0:5
Charleroi-Kortrijk 1:0
Lokeren-Club Brugge 0:4
KRC Genk-Waasland Beveren 3:3
KAS Eupen-Zulte Waregem 0:5
Charleroi-Kortrijk 1:0
Today's matches are Mechelen-Standard Liège (14:30CET), St. Truiden-KAA Gent (18:00CET), and KV Oostende-Mouscron (20:00CET).
