Yeah, I don't see how Funkmaster's assertion is realistic. Dinamo's and Shakhtar's current level is not the best they've shown. And their best was only slightly better than Celtic's and Rangers' best. The difference would be that unlike Rangers, who got demoted, Dinamo would only be mediocre, but I don't know how that would absolutely guarantee that the country won't fall below top 15. Not to mention Celtic are pretty comfortable, whereas Shakhtar can't even play near their own home.

I don't think they will fall below 15 as long as they have Shakhtar but in a few years they will be in the places 11-14 I believe.

Can someone give a general update on Ukrainian football? Normally I check futbolgrad.com to see some quality insights but not much info overthere..
How many will score Ukraine depends on two teams (Dynamo and Shakhtar), it can be from 4,000 to 9,000 per season ... I personally think that in the top 12 we can stay for a long time, if nothing happens to our giants...

Prediction on this season
Shakhtar 1\8 CL 18 points
Dynamo 1\8 EL 14 points(it can not be ruled out that the Dynamo will not pass Maritimo, then it will be a tragedy)
Zorya 1-2 draws in EL GS
if Olexandria pass BATE like Zorya(like any other ukrainian team starting from the 3rd place to 12 in the Ukrainian league) it will be 1-2 draws in EL GS

So if Dynamo passes the same Portuguese Maritimo, we can assume that Ukraine will eventually score in the range of 7,000...It is impossible to discard the results of the draws, it can correct the forecast, for example, Shakhtar will fall into the group of death in CL

If Shakhtar and Dinamo maintain the quality to reach EL-1/16 Ukraine will stay around place 11-13. Clubs like Basel, Olympiakos, Sparta, Salzburg or Kopenhagen aren't better than the two "ukrainian giants", so how should countries like Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Czech republic, Denmark or Croatia overtake them? I only see them falling behind Turkey or Netherlands, but I still see them better than countries on place 12-17.

Dynamo Kyiv didn't travel to Mariupol because of safety reasons.

Now technical defeat and dynamo will go to TAS.

another nail in the chest in the ukrainian football.
