so what will happen if both B team and A team finish in the promotion play-off zone, like is the B team also gonna participate in the playoffs? and if B team wins and A team doesn't win who is gonna get promoted instead
Good question--if memory serves, something along this line has happened in the past. The team that loses to the "B" team would be promoted if I remember correctly. I think that when Atleti went down to Second Division in 2000, their "B" team was champ of Second Division. I'll try to look that up. Oops, but that was a different case--a "filial" can never be promoted above an "A" team. :amstupid: And so the next team down the line was promoted. Edit: The case I was thinking of was 2000-2001, when Atleti, in Second Divison "A", failed to win promotion back to First Division, while their "B" team finished top of group in Second Division "B". There was no problem, since Atlético "B" could not be promoted, so they didn't play any sort of promotion.
actually I checked and Atlético B played a promotion play-off but didn't win (apparently they played because Segunda season was still ongoing when Segunda B main season finished so Atleti A could still be promoted)

also interesting what happens if for example you have Granada B-Osasuna B and Valladolid B-Córdoba B in the first round and then say Granada B-Valladolid B in the second round and both their A teams don't get promoted so would both B teams be eliminated then? and who would advance to the third round then (quite an extreme case, but not impossible)

Day 3 of Week 3 in LaLiga2

18:00 Oviedo 3, Reus 0 Both off to a poor start: Oviedo has one point; Reus has two after two games. Toché gives Oviedo the lead at 27'--1-0. Toché makes it 2-0 at 48'. David Rocha puts icing on the cake at 88'. Oviedo climbs, at least for the moment, to sixth place; they go into next week's game against Sporting in the Molinón on a winning note. This year in LaLiga2, there is no bigger derby than the Gijón-Oviedo game :!: With both teams now doing reasonably well, they'll fill the Molinón :!: If memory serves, this game hasn't been played since 2002-2003.

20:00 Sevilla At. 1, Leonesa 2 Sevilla has one point; Leonesa has three. Curro Sánchez gives Sevilla the lead at 54'. But Leonesa turns it around in the last few minutes--Angel Bastos at 87' and Julen Colinas at 90' do the scoring--1-2.

20:30 Valladolid 2, Tenerife 0 Valladolid lost at home and won on the road. Tete will be alone in first place if they win, while a tie would leave them second to Sporting on GD. A loss would drop them to no better than fourth place. Ibán Salvador gives Valladolid the lead at 30'; Míchel Herrero makes it 2-0 at 49'. Valladolid holds on and knocks Tete down to fourth place or worse.

21:30 Córdoba 1, Zaragoza 2 Córdoba lost at home and won away. Zaragoza has just one point, and a loss here will sound alarm bells. Borja Iglesias gives Zaragoza the lead at 19'; Jona ties three minutes later; Borja Iglesias strikes again at 69'--1-2.

Day 2 of Week 4, Saturday Sept. 9

16:00 Huesca 0, Sevilla At. 0 in progress. Huesca is 10th with four points; Sevilla At. is top of the drop with one point.

18:00 Barça "B" 4, Córdoba 0 Barça is 14th with four points; Córdoba is one place back of Barça with a win on the road and two losses at home. Aleñá, José Arnaiz with two, and Lozano were the scorers in Barça's blowout.

18:00 Sporting 1, Oviedo 1 THE derby in LaLiga2 returns 14 years after the last one :!: Sporting leads the league with seven points, six goals scored and none conceded. Oviedo is ninth, with four points. Let's hope violence may be avoided and may the better team win :!: Expect nearly 30,000 in the Molinón :!: Carlos Carmona gave Sporting the lead at 13'; Toché tied for Oviedo at 85'. I'll try to come up with attendance figures. . . . And thanks to the Real Oviedo website, we learn that 27,506 were on hand :!: Sporting falls to second place; could drop further later this weekend.

20:00 Almería 2, Lorca 1 Almería is 13th with four points; Lorca is two places higher with the same number of points. Fran Rodríguez gives Almería the lead at 62'; Javier Muñoz ties at 84'; Tino Costa wins it for Almería at 89'.

Day 3 of Week 4, Sunday Sept. 10

13:00 Tenerife 2, Granada 2 Tete can climb to second place with a win. Granada has three ties in their three games thus far. At 18', Adrián Ramos gives Granada the lead--0-1. Goal has now been "awarded" to Aitor Sanz--own goal :!: Red card for Suso Santana of Tete at 66'. But Tete then comes back to take the lead: Longo makes it 1-1 at 72', and Malbasic scores for 2-1 at 90'. However. Jorge Saenz puts one into his own net at 90', and Granada escapes with a 2-2 tie . . . although technically, they didn't score at all. This makes Granada truly the "King of the Tie," four for four.

16:00 Zaragoza 0, Alcorcón 1 Zaragoza went into the weekend in mid-table. Alcor was a point ahead of Zaragoza with a win and two ties; they're the only team left in LaLiga2 that has yet to concede a goal. At 38', Alvaro Peña gives Alcor the lead--0-1. Alcor holds on to win.

18:00 Leonesa 4, Valladolid 4 Leonesa went into the weekend with six points; Valladolid had the same number but led Leonesa on GD. At 10', Leonesa takes the lead on an own goal by Guitian. Jaime Mata ties with a pk at 37'--1-1. Leonesa retakes the lead at 49' as Yeray González scores--2-1. Guitian ties for Valladolid at 60'. At 63', Garrido of Leonesa sees red. At 63', Hervias makes it 2-3 for Valladolid, and 2-4 comes at 69'--by Jaime Mata. But it wasn't over yet--at 79', Guitian scores a second own goal--3-4; at 84', Josep Sene makes it 4-4. Incredible game, with Guitian putting the ball into the net three times, once for his own team, twice for the opponents   :!:

20:00 Albacete 0, Lugo 1 Alba is next-to-last with one point and has yet to score. Lugo has one point and also has yet to score; they lead Alba on GD. Iriome González gives Lugo the lead at 51'. Lugo moves out of the drop with the win.

Day three of Week 5 in LaLiga2

12:00 Leonesa 3, Huesca 2 Leonesa can tie for the top with a win--at least for the moment. Huesca went into the weekend in mid-table. Great game in the Reino de León. Yeray González has scored at 24' and 45' (pk), and Yasser at 79' for Leonesa; Juan Hernández at 32' and Melero at 54' tied on two occasions for Huesca. Leonesa at the moment is tied on points for first place.

16:00 Alcorcón 1, Barça "B" 1 Alcor is in third place and is the only team in LaLiga2 not to concede a goal through the first four weeks. Barça is two points back of Alcor, in fifth place going into the weekend. Alvaro Giménez gives Alcor the lead at 76'; Carlos Aleñá ties for Barça at 88'--the first goal Alcor gives up this season :!:

18:00 Oviedo 1, Cádiz 0 Oviedo was in mid-table going into the weekend. Cádiz is tied for top of the league on points; a tie would keep them there, while a loss might not. Toché gives Oviedo the lead at 64'. Big win for Oviedo; Cádiz is knocked out of first place, although they're still even on points with three or four other teams. 15,684 in the Carlos Tartiere.

18:00 Nástic 3, Alba 1 #22 hosts #21 in the crummy game of the week. The winner could conceivably rise above the drop, but probably won't. Perdomo at 11' and Delgado at 20' give Nástic a 2-0 lead; Zozulya cuts the lead to 2-1 at 25'. Uche makes it 3-1 at 90', as Nástic wins for the first time this season, while Alba scores for the first time--but it doesn't do them any good.

20:00 Córdoba 2, Tenerife 0 Córdoba is currently in the drop. Tete, with a win, would join those in playoff spots. Sergio Guardiola gives Córdoba the lead at 64'. Caballero makes it 2-0 at 90'. Córdoba avoids falling into the drop with the win.

Day 1 of Week 6 in LaLiga2 is today, Friday Sept. 22; just one game

21:00 Almería 3, Sevilla At. 0 Almería is in mid-table with seven points; a win here would lift them into a five-way tie for first place--at least until the other four teams involved play later this weekend. Goals by Morcillo at 45' (pk), Tino Costa at 76', and Poza at 90' lift Almería into third place on GD behind Numancia and Valladolid.
