Matchday 29/30
BK Häcken 2-0 Kalmar FF
Djurgårdens IF 0-0 Jönköpings Södra IF
GIF Sundsvall 1-4 Hammarby IF
IK Sirius 0-4 Malmö FF
Halmstads BK 1-1 AFC Eskilstuna
Östersunds FK 4-1 IF Elfsborg
AIK 2-1 IFK Göteborg
IFK Norrköping 2-0 Örebro SK
1. Malmö 64 +37
2. AIK 54 +24
3. Djurgården 50 +22
4. Östersund 49 +16
5. Häcken 49 +13
6. Norrköping 47 +5
AIK tonight secured the second place in the table after Malmö, for the second year in a row (Been top-3 for five straight years now)
But, since Djurgården have lost most of their form lately and the chasing teams behind instead have won their matches and considerly tighten the gap, the race for the last EL-place is still alive and more or less wide open between; Djurgården, Östersund & Häcken. Even Norrköping with a microscopic chance, but, no, that's not gonna happen. All teams also play away from home in the last match.
On Sunday:
Kalmar vs Djurgården
Jönköping vs Östersund
Malmö vs Häcken
Elfsborg vs Norrköping
Although, Djurgården still "only" need a win to secure their EL-ticket. But with just one win in their last five, that might be tricky enough for them. Östersund now also feels like the biggest threat to their EL-dream. Even though Östersund also have Thursday's match away vs Bilbao to think about first and foremost. And after that Jönköping who fights for their lives at the bottom. Never the less, a very interesting conclusion of the season when it comes to the race for the final EL-ticket.
12. Kalmar 32 -17
13. Jönköping 29 -15
14. Sundsvall 28 -20
15. Halmstad 21 -18
16. AFC Eskilstuna 20 -25
And in the bottom. Jönköping with the slight upper hand vs Sundsvall when it comes to avoid the #14 spot and the relegation play-off. Kalmar are now safe with Sundsvall's loss at home vs Hammarby.
And Brommapojkarna and now also Dalkurd from the second division have already secured the advancement to the top flight. So the team ending up on place 14 will be facing Trelleborg away-home for the final spot in Allsvenskan 2018.
On Sunday:
