New book - One Night In Dudelange, Adventures in the UEFA Europa League
Just a quick post that may interest a few people on the forum here (and many thanks to Bert for the permission to plug!). My book, One Night In Dudelange - Adventures in the UEFA Europa League , was recently published by Vision Sports Publishing. It tells the inside story of a small team competing i...

Re: UEFA EL 18/19 - play-off
Come on Dudelange! I think RTL's stream just crashed with that goal
Imagine a Luxembourg club still with half the side that lost to an Irish second division side three years ago in the group stages
The Europa League is a far more interesting tournament than the CL

Re: UEFA Youth League 2017/18
Ah shite. You could well be right actually. I missed that looking at the current season rankings - very little ranking difference.
Still, as you say, 41st did qualify this year, and though I doubt it will do so next year, it makes the original query about the other leagues still valid I guess!

UEFA Youth League 2017/18
So this is obviously exceptionally early, but... A couple of teams are starting to qualify for this - maybe. Breidablik and UCD (from Iceland and Ireland) have both qualified - if enough countries higher up have their underage winner get into the Champions' League proper. UCD - who were in the Europ...

Re: Cl 2016\2017 Third qualifying round
There's a crest I won't forget in a long time!
Had hoped Dudelange would do well this year after we knocked ye out last year - doesn't seem to have quite happened for ye.
Next year maybe! :p

Re: Cl 2016\2017 Third qualifying round
In case they weren't posted earlier, here's the highlights - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STPG6MFI8e0 From sun to lashing rain in one match - nicely sums up autumn in Ireland! Interestingly, I thought Cork did much better than Dundalk in their first leg tie last week; Dundalk were a bit lucky to ...

Re: Cl 2016\2017 Third qualifying round
The LoI changed to summer soccer in 2002 - if this is the vindication, it's been a long time coming! We've had some awful years in Europe too - including Pat's losing in Luxembourg this year, Cork losing in Iceland last year when 1-0 up and a man up after half an hour, Pat's losing home and away to ...

Re: Question re Thun & Vaduz
There was one other time when this could have happened, though it didn't. In 1991/92, East German teams were admitted into Europe, though there was no more East Germany. The teams were based on the 1990/91 East German Oberliga, which was the last season of it, and in 1991/92, all the teams were play...

Re: EL qualifying 2015-16
What an incredible, incredible game in Dudelange. We were 1-0 up, 2-0 up on aggregate and quite comfortable. Dudelange had to attack, so we could sit back and counter. I'm quite happy there's no way we were going to lose the match - until the red. (F91 were also quite dirty - general consensus is th...

Whoops! You may be right. I think I added the first legs last week twice.

Re: EL qualifying 2015-16
Not entirely sure what you mean by that post? (And I appreciate English isn't your first language!) Dudelange are still favourites, of course. As the game went on, I thought we could get a second goal - then it would have been 50/50 going into next week. But in the last five minutes, we were more ha...

Re: EL qualifying 2015-16
F91 didn't dominate the whole match. The second half was far more even than the first (which F91 did dominate)

Re: EL qualifying 2015-16
UCD Dublin-F91 Dudelange 1-0, the students gave a lesson to malkoteam Sorry - not allowed use that headline for our games. Everyone uses it! :D You gotta say something like "UCD's Lux in" Thought we were worth the win in the second half. Dudelange were starting to get on top, and I though...

Re:
Anyway FP additional berths look almost a punishement, this year more than usual, considering that UCD and GAE are second tier teams and it's unlikely that they'll reach GS and that could be very bad for Irish and Dutch coefficient (unless Twente get the license, as I read above). Sorry for the bum...
