Re: Europa League 24/25, Matchday 1
Its the best Ajax played for a long time. May be Farioli was the right choice. Farioli has been great. The squad is still completely unbalanced and nowhere near the talent level that Ten Hag had but Farioli isn't complaining publicly and is making the best of it. The team is fit and they play with ...

Re: UEFA Nations League 2024-25
2-2 was the correct result in Amsterdam. The Netherlands had slightly better chances, but Germany was a bit better on the ball. I was really impressed with the Dutch team these past 2 matches. They look like they've leveled up after the euro's. The quality of attacking in the past 2 matches was so ...

Re: 2024 Paris Olympics
@mavano a sport to be olympic must be widely practiced by men in at least 75 countries and on four continents and by women in no fewer than 40 countries and on three continents Baseball/softball faills completely this. 2 continents are completely out of the map, women are out of the map and not ...

Re: 2024 Paris Olympics
I'm not a baseball fan but it is the #1 sport in quite a lot of nations and especially a whole region that isn't represented a lot in the olympics as is. Baseball obviously brings the issue that mens football has, but there is some discussion that MLB will allow its players to compete. If they do ...

Re: 2024 Paris Olympics
Gracenote predicted it almost perfectly. 34 medals and 16 golds became 34 and 15. Although we underperformed by 6 medals in the 1st week and over performed by 6 in the 2nd. Rowing (4-3-1) was extremely successful. But also about as was expected. Sailing (2-0-2) was a succes, although the biggest ...

Harrie Lavreysen completes his golden hattrick in the velodrome. He becomes the most decorated summer olympian in Dutch history with 5-1-0. Only Ireen Wüst is ahead of him (6-5-2)

Re: 2024 Paris Olympics
Hassan put in an medal winning effort in an Olympic 10K and then wins the marathon a couple days later... This one puts her in legend category. 6 medals in 4 different events and 3 golds in 3 different events in 2 olympics as a distance runner is really insane.

Re: 2024 Paris Olympics
Looks like the Kiwi decided to not try and take the gold from the American and have a gold each, but he doesn't want to share, so it's a jump off. I got the impression that wasn't an option. Did they change the rules? 3 years ago it felt like the outcome wasn't according to the rulebook. The guys ...

Re: 2024 Paris Olympics
Portugal won in madison, thats a surprise for me, didn't think they can be so good in track cycling. I believe its first Portugal's gold of the games. The Madison is just complete chaos. To make that kind of endurance effort and still stay on top of what’s happening around you is something special.
