Chicago Fire in Neymar talks to end Saudi stay
Neymar joined Al-Hilal from Paris St-Germain in 2023 for a league-record £77million but he has made just seven appearances, scoring one goal.
The former Barcelona ...

Re: 2027 AFC Asian Cup, Saudi Arabia
Well I'm glad this prevented the Swiss System getting a foothold in international football.
Asia should have a League A of 8 teams imo. No wonder the top teams didn't want to be involved.

Re: Scottish football 24/25
Equals Aberdeen's club record winless streak now. A 0-0 home draw with Hearts and a 3-0 loss at Rangers since I last mentioned them.

Re: Rip off transfer flops
Mykhaylo Mudryk - probably best deal ever made by Todd Boehly in his life. Arsenal wanted to sign Mudryk, but Boehly, just to show the world how powerful he is, outbid the Gunners and paid 70M EUR + 30M EUR in bonuses for a player who is not even a starter at Chelsea as far as I know.
They can ...

Re: English Football 2024-2025
Just today I learnt that FA Cup replays (outside the preliminary rounds) are a thing of the past. Traditions be damned.
This change additionally makes the League Cup look more superfluous than ever. Now both domestic cups have almost the same format, only with different number of rounds and the ...

Re: Scottish football 24/25
Midweek results, wow, Rangers just cannot buy an away win, they drew 1-1 at Dundee. Celtic beat Dundee United 2-0 and Aberdeen weren't playing, so Rangers are 7pts ahead of those two. Celtic lead by 15pts.

Re: English Football 2024-2025
Tottenham. If Liverpool are in the final, they care about the trophy. You're not getting to a final if you don't care.
I'm not sure. They already won it last year, and if we go by the usual dates for the final (can't find it on Wikipedia), it will come around the time of the CL round of 16 ...

I'm at a loss as to whom to root for. Tottenham should be just as hungry as Newcastle in a final, whereas Liverpool would probably only care about this trophy for a possible ...

Re: 2027 AFC Asian Cup, Saudi Arabia
These qualifying groups are strange, they're dragging them out unnecessarily. 5 windows to play 6 games. Even AFC WCQ will be finished before then, except for the intercontinental playoffs team.
