Re: UEFA Nations League 2022/23
Is it in june that UEFA will decide how many Nations will be relegated and how many will get promotion from this edition? Next edition we will get 10 nations from CONMEBOL to join this tournament and I guess this will say something for relegation and promotion. What league will CONMEBOL teams go in...

Re: UEFA Nations League 2022/23
Hold on how come they're all in Group 4. This keeps happening, surely not a coincidence? It isn't. This way UEFA will know beforehand that a group-winner will be from the host country for sure. Netherlands at first didn't apply, but UEFA asked them to still apply after the other 3 countries from ou...

Re: Re:
What I find interesting is that the capital cities of the major countries in general do not have outstanding club sides. Rome - has never won CL or Champions Cup Berlin - same (in fact no European tournaments at all) London - same Moscow - same Paris - same (obviously Madrid is the major exception)...

Re: New Champions League at 2024 and on
The Conference League winner should I think go into the Champions League League Path 3rd Qualifying Round. That way they have a chance of CL football, but would need to win two tough games, and are guarenteed EL football as a backup. If they went into the GS, then as a Spurs fan for instance I woul...

Re: New Champions League at 2024 and on
Overall, I'm not against the format itself. I am, however, against the coefficient spots. They should be instead given to another domestic champion and then the ECL winner. Those two are much more deserving of Champions League football than some fifth place team I agree. ECL winner should get into ...

Re: New Champions League at 2024 and on
Agreed on UEFA CL and WC. Euro should be 16. I do like the NL. It is an improvement over random friendly games. The fact that each team gets to play 12 games (in a 4 years cycle) against teams of similar level, can only improve the over level of the game. What's changed since 2004-09 to the present...

Re: 2026 FIFA World Cup draw. How would you do it?
You could have 6 pots. 1-6 Group A, C, E etc have 1 team from pots 1, 4 and 6 Group B, D, F etc have 1 team from post 2, 3 and 5 Winner A plays RU B, 1C v 2D etc with A-H on one side of the bracket and I-P on the other. Host and defending champions on opposite sides of the bracket so they don't meet...

Re: 2026 FIFA World Cup draw. How would you do it?
I would make six pots of 8 teams for the draw. Then I would make 8 "main groups" each consisting of 2 subgroups: Group A1: Teams from pot 1, 4, 5 Group A2: Teams from pot 2, 3, 6 Maximum 1 team from each confederation in each subgroup. In case the current format (2 MD in the Groupstage) m...

Re: New Champions League at 2024 and on
Unfortunately, greed has ruined the game. The best format for the Champions League in my opinion was that between 2004 and 2009. It was perfect. The UEFA Cup was at its best when it was straight knock-out. The World Cup is best at 32. I think a debate could be made for whether the Euro is better at...
