@ bb:
The best example of what they do is ask the player a question which will produce a controversial answer no matter what--and if no answer is given, say something such as "Player X refuses to deny that (you pick your controversy at this point)."
Now this may happen; we'll see Marca stated unequivocally today that Fabio Coentrao will join Real Madrid officially next week. My interpretation: there's a chance that this will happen, but it ain't a done deal.

It's all 'bout the money. Probably the best player of the Eredivisie going to Russia, a half year ago the best player of the Belgian league went in the same way. I always thought his next move would be towards a club like Atletico Madrid/Valenica, but I didn't knew he thought solely with his wallet.bugylibicska wrote:Dzsudzsak to Anzhi Makhachkala.
Well, another promising player for the Russian megalomanic project, at least it spicies the Russian league up. I don't know where or whether Anzhi's spending spree will eventually end, but I can see them seriously challenging for the title this year. Especially because the new transition format rules out chance (favouring stronger teams like Anzhi is becoming) and they have the benefit of not having added weight of European football.

Anzhi Makhachkala paid 10 million Euros for Dzsudzsak and he`s signed 4 years for 5 million Euros a year. He`s only 24 and one day wants to play in Spain. According to his agent, nobody came forward with any concrete offer, but Anzhi. I hope they will succeed and can`t wait to see them in Europe next season, hopefully drawn against Glasgow Rangers at one stage and they`ll be able to fulfill their dream for revenge.

PSV got 14M Euro for him. Considering they only got 3M for Afellay, PSV is right to do so, despite they will miss hem terribly. But considering a certain Jones was transfered for 29M , you might wonder how 'one-market' this Europe is (or are the English clubs blinded by the money they got?).VeliborVasovic wrote:It's all 'bout the money. I wish him all the luck in Russia. How is it any way, I hear from a lot of clubs that they mostly stay at Moskou, despite their actual stadium is in some complete other place. How many teams actualy live in Moskou?

If one never had been in Russia, or in the former Sovietunion for that matter, it`s hard to understand this situation. Moscow is a state within a state, totally different from the rest of the country. It`s still not uncommon in even the biggest cities (Kyiv from my own experience) that you have no hot water or even running water for days, no heating when outside is -30C and so on. So, although I`d never been in Makhachkala, I can imagine things are not as somebody from the West would expect. For Dzsudzsak, who was born in a small village in the easternmost (and most backwardly) province of Hungary Makhachkala is a lesser shock than Eindhoven and I`m sure he`ll not just survive, but flourish. As his father put it, it`s better to play in Russia, than sit on a bench in England and wait until opportunity knocks, namely a certain Jones (who`s valued 3 times more according to Ricardo) or whomever gets injured. If you want to get a glimpse into this far away land and grasp the Russian soul, a good start would be to read Eastern approaches by Fitzroy Maclean.

With no option though...Which means the next summer any discussion starts from zero basis.UCL_Lover wrote:Ivan Marcano, Villarreal defender, has agreed to move on 1 year loan to Olympiacos CFP.
He belongs to Villareal for 6 years since 2009 when they bought him from Racing for 6M Euros. Last year he was loaned to Getafe where he had a full season with 38 apps and 1 goal in 3 competitions. He can play equally well both the center back and the left side position.

On loan or on transfer?
It seems that Galata after a terrible season are going to be strong again.
I guess their goal is to win SL and return to CL!

The big problem at Chelsea is that despite there being a wealth of talent in the youth ranks they do not get enough opportunities due to the demands for instant success.flob wrote:Frank Arnesen takes a bunch of youngsters with him from Chelsea to Hamburg, so far:
Michael Mancienne
Jacopo Sala
Gökhan Töre
Jeffrey Bruma (on loan)
Any comments from our Chelsea (and other) experts about these players?
Henceforth a lot of youth players spend season after season out on loan before moving on.
Of the 4 players going to Hamburg 2 were never going to make the breakthrough - Tore & Sala, whilst Mancienne was a great prospect but due to being out on loan fell behind Bruma, Van aanholt, McEacharan etc
Bruma is a good prospect but again he is now going the same way as Mancienne by going to Hamburg following on from Leicester, i can see Bruma going permenantly next season.
I admit i don't know a great deal about Hamburg but whilst i think Mancienne & Bruma may may the 1st team, i admit i am unsure about Tore & Sala
