UEFA decided to introduce a brand new system of qualification for U19 Euro tournaments from the 2022 final tournament on. The new system is based on the "Nations League"-type minitournaments and for each season will consist of four such minitournaments starting already two years prior to the final tournament, i.e. already at the level of U18s.

The draw for the first minitournaments in the 2020-2022 cycle which will culminate in the final tournament in Slovakia in 2022 has been made today: https://www.uefa.com/under19/news/0257- ... id=2628538
The goal in the minitournaments is simple: make it to the League A (or stay there if you start there) by the final fourth tournament and then win the group or be one of the two best runner ups to qualify to the final tournament.
