It is questionable if it's even better to win the EL-PO tie.
Last season they lost the EL PO but they were awful in ECL too. So it might be better being awful in the stronger competition (in London, Manchester, Rome or Berlin).
They were 8th in Cyprus last year, they're here as Cup Winners. On paper they are the weakest of the 5 Cypriot teams.
For sure Omonoia is not the weakest of the 5 Cypriot teams and of course it's not a team that should have finished 7th in the league. Nevertheless, I understand that if you do not watch a certain league you can only judge by the results, but we are no pushover for sure.
Gent is the most difficult of the possible opponents but I would not give them more than a 65%-70% chance of progressing.

My prediction for ELCL, Assuming in each tie the team with the higher players' value according to Trasfermarkt wins
Pot 1: Manchester United, Roma, Arsenal, Lazio, Rangers, Sporting Braga, Dinamo Kiev, Olympiakos
Pot 2: FC Copenhagen, Feyenoord, Stade Rennais, PSV, Victoria Plzen, Gent, Real Sociedad, Qarabag
Pot 3: Partizan Belgarde, Malmo, Ludogorets, Sheriff, Real Betis, Midtjylland, Bodø / Glimt, Freiburg
Pot 4: Union Berlin, Fenerbahce, Maribor, Nantes, Strum Graz, Maccabi Haifa, Zurich, Union Saint-Gilloise

Maribor has higher value than SIlkeborg?
That would not be super surprising. Silkeborg was promoted to the league last year, and hence Transfermarket likely has not fully adjusted the player values from that of a Danish 2nd tier team

Oops. They don't, my bad. SIlkeborg are valued around 12M euro, Maribor around 8M euro.

Malmö is not in a good shape, at least seems from the results. But I've heard that Sivasspor is targeting Conference League football this year. Another club I watched is Zurich. They were terrible compared to last season. So, Hearts have an opportunity here.

Almost an understatement. A new manager was brought in for this season and lasted only about 4 months before being sacked. He brought the club to its first Swedish Cup title in 33 years (!) but performance in the league has been mediocre (by something of a miracle they are only 3p behind league leaders Djurgardens), and following a disastrous performance vs Vikingur in CLQ1 and and even worse performance and result in CLQ2 vs Zalgiris, he was sacked.
I was almost surprised they managed to beat F91 by three goals which pretty much seals group stage football for the autumn, which is an absolute minimum for a club of this stature. Perhaps the sporting director stepping in as caretaker helped boost morale, as Milojevic (the sacked Serbian manager) had reportedly lost the locker room entirely towards the end of his tenure.
I hold Sivasspor as favourites in the EL play offs (in a normal situation Malmo would be favourites in such a tie), but given how the team is performing, they are better off in the ECL where they can collect more points for both the club and the league.

Hi all,
What do you think about Austria Wien - Fenerbahce games? How is Austria Wien performing right now?
it would be better if Austria Wien will loose this tie and go straight for ECL. This ECL is a structural error and should be solved within the next years. Season is still too young to say about form of clubs. Austria should end up between 3 - 6 place in Bundesliga.

Tend to agree. The club and country coefficient points should be less in the ECL. Eg 200 in the EL for a win and 100 in the ECL

Not really fair as 40 countries are effectively shunned out of this competition and can't collect points there.

Agree with Todor, it will be a dream for some countries to play in El or Cl.
