Even in past seasons Perez failed Q1 quite a few times, a lot considering he had the best car by miles. And on those occasions sometimes he would get stucked in the middle of the pack.

In this race we saw that RB was very off balanced, with Max into the gravel twice, changes got better for him (him driving style) since RB put Sebastián Buemi working on the sim during friday night to fix those issues, but they had lit run time with the hard tyres and the car was harder to drive, once Max get the black and white warning message and so he reduced the pace to avoid getting 5s penalty for exceeding track limits.

Mercedes had absolutely no pace at all, very slow. Ferrari were looking good until Q3. In race they weren't game for Max and then again don't know what they tried to get with pit stops since we knew undercut was powerful. There was a time that Leclerc looked liked he could get close to Norris but was just a couple laps and then Norris got away and he chase after Max.

That car is gone. But survival cell made its work. That was totally unnecessary move by Kevin Magnussen. He has 10 points. Usually situations on first lap aren't penalized but he should, and with that we would top 12 points on superlicense and get a ban for a race.

Sainz got flat tire after contact with Piastri but with Red flag will have second chance.

If indeed the top 4 are going to the end without stopping this gp is basically dead unless some mechanical problems/SC happen.

The McLaren might stop Norris later if the gap with Russell is enough.

Charles Leclerc finally wins at home, with his step brother just behind him.

The accident just killed the race since they didn't want to stop again and kept running in a low pace. Still they gave a lap to almost everybody and 2 laps to a lot of drivers!

Only point of interest was possible free stop for Norris but as we saw with Verstappen, a slower car in Monaco can held a faster one. Now into Indianapolis.
