Brilliant. Norris is gunning for 2nd in the standings now! :bouncy:

Fight to be "the first of the losers" as Enzo Ferrari liked to say.
I think Verstappen has built a gap too large for the others, when he is under pressure he rarely commit a mistake, unlike his competitors. When his car is not so dominant you better appreciate his big talent.

There might be a 3-way fight for the construction championship though, Perez form is atrocious at the moment.
Norris is not fighting for 2nd, far from it.
Yesterday he got the reverse of safety car, when in the other race he took advantage, in this he lost the race do to it. Its racing. Btw, Red Bull being unsportsmanlike in defeat and in victory.

They tried to do a overcut and even at pit exit he tried to push knowing he would not go far, because he had cold tires. He is battling Max Verstappen, with inferior machinery. Makes me remember when Max was trying to break Hamilton's dominance before 2021. And it took a lot more time for Red Bull to make a winning car than McLaren, with smaller budget.

So this "first of the losers" couldn't be more wrong. The real losers were watching it from the tv's on pit lane after a pathetic weekend. Worst team this weekend, worse than Haas, Sauber or Williams.
The phrase "first of the losers" by Enzo Ferrari in Italy is often cited when a battle for 2nd place in a F1 championship is mentioned, so it is natural to think at it for an Italian.

I'm not sure Mclaren is inferior vs Red Bull right now, look at Perez and especially at how Verstappen had to struggle to win in Imola and Montreal.

In the driver championship yes, Leclerc and Norris are fighting for 2nd place, with a very small chance to catch Max. What is the controversial point here?

I don't think the Mclaren duo is as strong as Verstappen yet. In my opinion he's really a class above everyone else but Hamilton (in his glory days) and maybe Leclerc.

Red Bull is still the machine to beat, being good in every single race.
Perez? Perez has being doing this since 2022 at least. Way inferior to Bottas. In no way you can measure RB pace by Perez. Do you judge Aston Martin pace by Stroll or Williams by Sargeant?

Norris is fighting for victory quite a lot more than expected and quite a lot more than anybody else. It lacks some experience in this kind of battles but you only gain it by being on it. Being more times in the battle for victory than anybody else. And well, anytime Max won't dominate, for sure the car will have a serious problem. Its not the others being good, only him having technical issues. "My tyres are gone Bono". We ve heard it a lot.

What did Red Bull do?

Are you saying Norris is going for 1st? Even if he starts beating Max, isn't Max's lead too great to overhaul?
Fighting for victory in the races.
This is more important than being 3rd or 2nd in drivers championship right now for McLaren.

There was a comment when Max took the lead after one of the safety cars like “What goes around comes around. That’s Miami back.”

So I guess it's the way it was said you have an issue with, as you could say that and it just be akin to like you said "That's racing."

I read that Dubai BC (a basketball team based in Dubai) will probably compete in 2024-25 Euroleague... I am not positive at all...

The way things are said make a big difference.
They didn't say "You are on P1 because Norris got stuck after safety car". They hold to something races ago, that Norris nor McLaren had anything to blame for and basically said "its karma". Like it was more important the way than the result.

Btw, after Miami lots of crying "if it wasn't the safety car...". How about yesterday? "Beautiful performance despite problems in the car"?

They won't probably compete in Euroleague this season but for sure they will in the next years.
They already have an agreement to play in 2024-25 ABA League (clubs from former Yugoslavia) and are now building a team.
After this they will probably join Euroleague depending on their performance. ABA League gets a massive investment.

Isn't it strange that there will be elections in France 3 weeks before the Paris Olympics? Won't that be 'unsettling' for the event?

The McGregor - Chandler fight was canceled for Jun.29. because McGregor's undisclosed injury. This is not a surprise for me, always thought he's just trolling the world with his comeback. I think he's finished. The UFC put up Pereira - Prochazka as main fight.

Dallas finally won the 4th game against Boston 122:84 in style. Doncic had a great game from the start. Now they trail the series 3:1 after losing the 1st 3 games. In the 3rd game Boston led by 21 points in the 4th period, but Dallas had a 22:2 run and came to a single point close before they blown it.
Edmonton are down 3:0 against the Florida Panthers and are on the brink of a clean sweep.

June 15, Las Vegas: Aliskerov - Muniz

This fight was removed. First Muniz got injured, then Aliskerov was moved a week back to fight Whittaker replacing the injured Chimaev. The main event became Perez - Taira. Taira won by TKO in the 2nd round, still undefeated.
