HT 1-1. We managed to stop Denmark running the show, but they were the better team overall in that half. England players getting aggravated and there's work to do at HT.

Happy with the halftime result. England letting Denmark play our game. Last game we lost momentum in the second half. Hope we can keep it up this time. The pitch is a joke though

Usual England dropping deep after scoring. Denmark will be delighted seeing Kane come so far back so often.

Very static English team. Denmark pressing high with good effects. Kane scored, but he is also partly responsible for the goal conceded by England.

Disappointing England, surprisingly Denmark are the better team.

I have noticed that commentators do not mention often the club that a player plays for. I think they used to do it much more often in the past. Is it really the case, or is it just me?

Yeah, not always, but that's the problem. Need more movement from players off the ball, in possession and out. Players making runs and finding space in possession and fighting and covering for each other, being sharper and quicker off the ball, close down players and passing lanes.

See that there, ref talking to the Captains (Denmark player is the designated one as their keeper has the armband) and no one else in sight. This is how it should be.

Southgate never subs Kane, but he has here and Watkins is causing them problems. Very interesting.

Yes, Watkins entered well; that great run and pass demanded a good save.

This is exactly what I meant. One more thing, England look very electric in a build up. Serbia and Denmark almost took advantage of it and a top class team will surely score from such opportunity. I have no idea how Southgate is going to fix it in a short period of time.

What the hell are we doing with all these free kicks?! Just completely wasting them.

I didn't watch the game (until now) but the Italian commentators are really criticizing England performance.

However this result is really bad for Slovenia, I can't see them getting a result against England, as much as unconvincing the quality gap might just be too large.
