Austria gets 2 golds, both in...sailing. Yup, the landlocked country that loves winter sports has sailing as their best Olympic performance - insane!

German girl btw broke the World record in Women's Sprint Qualifying. Medal comeback on for Germany? Our girls qualified 2nd and 4th though, so will be on the hunt... :bouncy:

Bronze medal women's hockey match between Argentina and Belgium is going to a shootout...

Big scandal in waterpolo. Big error by the referee during Italy-Hungary. In the first quarter, Hungarg leading 3-2,Condemi leveled with a strong shot, and at the end of the shoot his hand hit the Hungarian defender.
The ref disallowed the goal, concede a penalty for Hungary , definitive red card for Italian player and Italy 1 men less for 4 minutes, instead of 30 seconds, due to "brutal action"
After the game the Federation recognized the error, but the game cannot be played again.

I would say a "brutal error" by the referees from Romania and Montenegro.
Hope for more partecipants in the next Prediction Game

How many sailing competitions do we have at the Olympics all of a sudden? Feels like the whole 2 weeks of the Olympics are with this super-boring sailing now (I even prefer watching golf and this means a lot). It must be more than in the past.

In other news, bronze for our football women after beating world champion Spain. They missed a questionable penalty late in extra time. Speaking of Germany - Spain, the handball semi-final is on. 11-9 Germany, another drama incoming for one of the teams?

Sweden put up a huge fight against China in Table Tennis in all 3 matches, but sadly lost all of them 3-2.

They came closer than most countries come when facing the table tennis robots, but China still has something extra in 5th sets.

They've suffered greatly with having to abandon races due to changing winds. But aside from that, the different categories have a lot of races each.

It's just that the French did a terrible job organizing Sailing, abandoned and cancelled races every day because of no wind or shifting wind.

A fairly chaotic Madison women's race at the track. The Brits were clearly the strongest couple, but rode with their heads under their arms. They often rode far too long sprints and wasted lot of energy on nothing, and then ended up passive when both Italy and Netherlands gained a lap. Italy ended up winning ahead of GB and the Dutch.
The Danish couple finished 6th. They were quite good in the early sprints, but did not have the stamina or power to win a lap, or fight for most of the sprints in the second half

Damn it, we would have won that if the baton passes were better! Silver still very good.

Great Britain should have won the women's relay but they had really slow baton switches and the Americans won...

Carlin, whom the judges spared in the quarterfinals again makes an offense, this time in the bronze final, and the judges choose to spare him again
