Jornada 12 starts tomorrow (1 Nov) and ends Mon. (4 Nov), which will get us through the "hard to figure the kickoff time" problem

Fri. 1 Nov

2100 Alavés 1, Mallorca 0 Can Mallorca continue their excellent results :?: A win would lift them to third place :!: Scoreless first half in Mendizorroza. 17,212 on hand. At 76, Guridi scores to give the home team the lead--1-0. And that is the final score.

Sat. 2 Nov.

1400 Osasuna 1, Valladolid 0 Can Osasuna qualify for European fútbol? Can Valladolid avoid the drop" :?: At 18', VAR consultation leads to a pk being awarded to Osasuna. Budimir converts at 19--1-0. And still 1-0 at the half, which is good enough to lift Osasuna past Atlético into fourth place . . . for the moment, anyway. And Osasuna's goal holds up :!:

1615 Girona 4, Leganés 3 . . . or #14 hosts #15. Will Girona show the form that carried them to the CL last season :?: At 21', Miguel Gutiierrez scores for Girona, but at 24, Tapia ties for Leganés--1-1. At 31, Arnau heads in to give Girona the lead again--2-1. At 41, Juan Cruz ties it for Lega with a shot from just outside the area--2-2. And it is halftime. 10,839 in Montilivi. At about 62', Stuani comes in for Girona to take a pk; he converts the pk and it is 3-2. And now 4-2 after an own goal by Sergio Gonzalez. And now at 78 it is 4-3 as Munir scores. And there it ends :!: :applause: :applause:

1830 Villarreal-Rayo Postponed due to flooding :!:

2100 Valencia-Real Madrid Can Valencia get something positive out of this game :?: Postponed due to flooding :!: :!: Really awful flooding--see amenina below; has more info than I do.

Sun. 3 Nov. Well, utter confusion on my part--I seem to be an hour different from what I expected. SIGH :exclamation: They changed the kickoff hour for this game a couple of times--I am not the only one confused by the hour change :!:

1400 Atlético 2, Las Palmas 0 Can Atleti get back on track :?: Even a tie today lifts Atleti back to third place. At 37, Giuliano Simeone gives Atleti the lead--1-0. And that is the score at the half  good enough to lift Atleti to third place . . . for the moment anyway . . . 56,610 on hand. At 83, Sorloth makes it 2-0 for Atleti. That is the final; Atleti climbs to 3rd place for the moment. Las Palmas stays in the drop.

1615 Barça 3, Espanyol 1 Big derby, although a bit one-sided  Underway momentarily. At 11, Yamal assists Dani Olmo, who scores--1-0. At 23, Raphinha makes it 2-0. At 27, Jofre of Espanyol seems to have scored . . . but VAR finds an offside on the play. At 31, Dani Olmo scores another, after a giveaway--3-0. And that is the score at the half. At 63, Puado scores for Espanyol--3-1. That is the final.

1830 Sevilla 0, Real Sociedad 2 At 34, Take Kubo gives La Real the lead--0-1. And that is the score at the half. 37,619 on hand. At 66, pk awarded to la Real; Oyarzabal converts at 68--0-2. That is the final.

2100 Athletic 1, Betis 1 #6 hosts #7. These two are still in these positions at the start of this game. Scoreless at the half; Athletic has hit a post on three occasions. Somebody needs to get one between the sticks :!: At 52, Fornals of Betis put one between the sticks--0-1. At the moment, Betis is in fourth place :!: But Valverde brought in his secret weapon at 65, and indeed, Berenguer scored to tie it--1-1. And that is the final score :!:

Mon. 4 Nov. 2100 Celta 1,-Getafe 0 All kickoff time confusion should be over with :!: Home team has 13 points to date; visitors have 10. At 7', Aspas centers for Douvikas to head in--1-0; great goal :!: Halftime. Celta has climbed to tenth place . . .Shold this be the final score, anyway. 19,502 in Balaídos. At 62´, Aspas hits the post. At 65´, Getafe is down to 10, as Berrocal is dismissed. Celta holds on to win.

La Liga champions Real Madrid's match against Valencia, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed after the devastating flash floods in Spain.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has postponed all matches in the Valencia region, where at least 95 people have died and dozens more are missing after torrential rain.

Villarreal's La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano has also been called off, along with three games in the Segunda division - Castellon v RC Ferrol, CD Eldense against SD Huesca and Malaga's visit to Levante.

in Liga F, the women’s top flight, Valencia's match against Deportivo La Coruna and Real Madrid v Levante are among the postponed fixtures.

The RFEF had received requests from La Liga, Liga F and the clubs themselves to postpone all professional matches in the area after the flash floods.

Several Copa del Rey matches, including Valencia's trip to Parla Escuela, had already been rescheduled.

The RFEF said a minute's silence will be observed during the weekend's games to show Spanish football's "solidarity for those affected, especially the relatives of those who have died in the natural disaster".

Valencia and Levante games postponed again

Valencia's La Liga game at Espanyol on Saturday has been postponed as the city continues to deal with the aftermath of the devastating floods that hit eastern Spain last week.

Levante, who also play in Valencia, have also seen their second-tier game at Tenerife postponed on Sunday.

Flooding in the Valencia region which began last Tuesday has caused at least 218 deaths.

Valencia's Copa del Rey meeting with Parla Escuela and La Liga game against Real Madrid were both postponed last week.

A statement from Valencia read: "At this time, football is secondary and all efforts must go to aid those affected by the tragic aftermath of the DANA weather phenomenon, to whom Valencia CF would like to express their deepest condolences and support."

Levante said: "We would like to thank La Liga, the Royal Spanish Football Federation and CD Tenerife for their sensitivity and understanding, as well as the numerous displays of affection and help that we are receiving in these difficult times from all over Spain and also internationally.

"Our focus during these days will continue to be on collaborating and reinforcing the work that the emergency services and volunteers continue to carry out, as well as on supporting all those affected by this catastrophe."

Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti, Atletico Madrid's Diego Simeone and Barcelona's Hansi Flick were among the managers who criticised the decision to play any La Liga matches last weekend.

Another defeat at San Sebastián for Barça, and the good streak comes to an end. The loss against Osasuna was answered splendidly, will it happen again after the break?

No European football for the worst Valencia in several decades, so there are enough gaps in the Liga calendar to catch up. But they'll feel the pressure more down at the bottom because of these postponements.
