Despite domestic disappointing in CL Feyenoord has been great (Benfica, ManCity, Bayern), but this makes it very hard for Feyenoord to surprise….angel_87 wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 16:11and in the end it arrives Feyenoord vs Milan, with Santiago Gimenez who goes from the dutch to Milan... destiny!!![]()
Champions League 24/25, Knockout phase play-offs
And 1-1, best PSV er on the field Perisic scores it at a time Juve was dominating again. A doubtful hands/no hands by Lang was just before the goal but not says referee and VAR appears to not find that a big failure.
And again at the moment you think Juve has lost it and PSV could go for the win it’s Juve that scores. 2-1
Haaland slams a penalty won by Foden into the bottom corner, 2-1! Both sides have hit the wood in this match. Haaland with both goals, Mbappe for Real Madrid.
Lead didn't last long as they bang in a rebound, 2-2.
They've done it to them again in injury time, Bellingham, 2-3.

For Sporting there are still chances: the same way Dortmund won 3-0 in Lisbon, Sporting can lose by 4 or 5 at Dortmund.
If the PSV goalkeeper hadn't got a hand on the ball it would've been cleared by the defence, but instead it turned into a nice assist for Juventus' winner.Ricardo wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2025 22:40 And again at the moment you think Juve has lost it and PSV could go for the win it’s Juve that scores. 2-1

Finally a decent CL performance by Dortmund again after Sahin is gone. Even though I'm definitely not a fan of Niko Kovac as their new coach, but for now there is this famous 'new coach effect' where suddenly all the basics are back and they look more stable again. They are not as stable as in the previous season, but lets see what's possible. Next round seems doable too with this path (AV or LOSC, better not the slimy Emery team).
Deserved win for Real, City looked more lucky for a long time in the game, but then it's typical Real.

Such as Game of Thrones, Brest's awesome CL campaign is going to end on a bad note, being eliminated (and destroyed) by a French club...
I guess it's a flaw of the new system : clubs from same association shouldn't be meeting that early in the competition.

I thought a flaw of the old format was that clubs from the same association couldn't meet immediately from the start of the knockout stage.naaba wrote: Wed Feb 12, 2025 02:08I guess it's a flaw of the new system : clubs from same association shouldn't be meeting that early in the competition.
