New Seasons

Post by Lubomir25 »

i have made this thread so diffrent countries can report the opening day of there league season....

Scottish Premier League

Celtic V Kilmarnock

Celtic have started the campaign with a 4-1 victory despite claims they lacked a goal scoring threat in the press, although the defence still is not up to scratch for champions league football.

Dunfermline V Hearts

Hearts begin there title challenge with a 2-1 victory over a new and improved dunfermline side, without hartley, and the departed rudi skacel there midfield lacked fluency, but like any other title challenger hearts showed determination to fight for a well deserved victory.

Motherwell V Rangers

Rangers new regime began with sunday 2-1 beating of motherwell fc, rangers counter attacking football was reporetdly top class, but there inabhility to put the game to bed meant they had to endure a scare from motherwell as the underdogs knocked in an equaliser not long after the restart, only for one of the old guard dado prso to bail them out with a hard fought victory

Hibernian V Aberdeen

Aberdeen kicked off the season at hibernian and managed a 1-1 draw with a top 4 place the best these two teams can hope for this season, hibernian were reportidly the livlier of the 2 sides at the start but as the game continued hibs and the entertainment value died away as players energy levels drained.

Inverness V St. Mirren

The SPL new boys began there campaign with a shock 2-1 victory over last seasons 7th placed team inverness, john sutton secured a vital 3 points for the newcomers as last years relagated team only managed 18points in 38games.

Dundee united V Falkirk

Last years underachievers kicked off this season with yet another poor result, a team that should be well within the reaches of the top 6 fell 2-1 to falkirk, the home fans will surely ask for more this season from there players, or we could see yet another early manager sacking.
