Huge stakes in this round. Win your tie here and you have guaranteed yourself group stage football until November. Lose a tie and you're gambling with your destiny in the ECL play-off round.

Unseeded:

AEK Larnaca FC (CYP) / FC Midtjylland (DEN)

CHAMPIONS PATH:

(no seedings)

NK Maribor/FC Sheriff Tiraspol
ŠK Slovan Bratislava/Ferencvárosi TC
HJK Helsinki/FC Viktoria Plzeň
FK Žalgiris Vilnius/Malmö FF
Maccabi Haifa FC/Olympiacos FC
Shamrock Rovers FC/PFC Ludogorets 1945
Linfield FC/FK Bodø/Glimt
FC Zürich/Qarabağ FK
FC Shkupi 1927/GNK Dinamo Zagreb
FC Pyunik/F91 Diddeleng

Just in case of a freakish scenario where Dinamo gets eliminated by Shkupi, it'd be nice to avoid two pairs: Zürich/Qarabag and Maccabi/Olympiacos.

Excluding AEK Larnaca, all other 3 unseeded teams would be favourites against both Partizan and Slovacko in the Main Path.

I wonder how weakened Dynamo Kyiv will be, because Shakhtar already lost some key players due to FIFA's decision regarding foreign players.

Slovacko is obviously a far better option for AEK Larnaca than Partizan, I hope the draw smiles to them.

The champions path has no restrictions, I'd like to see a potential Zalgiris vs Linfield tie, to get a new country a Group Stage debut.

Turns out there are draw groups for EL Q3 CP. This must have been done to avoid the possibility of Pyunik and Qarabag paired.

Seeing that this has been done, I can only assume that the same will be done in ECL Q3 CP to avoid the potential of Zrinjski and Ballkani being paired

It seems they were careful to evenly distribute the pairs into 2 groups by respecting the coefficients of the CL-Q2 unseeds that are "projected" to end up in EL-Q3.

NK Maribor 14.000 --------------> group 2
ŠK Slovan Bratislava 13.000 --------------> group 1
HJK Helsinki 8.500 --------------> group 1
FK Žalgiris Vilnius 8.000 --------------> group 1
Maccabi Haifa FC 7.000 --------------> group 2
-----
Shamrock Rovers FC 7.000 --------------> group 1
Linfield FC 7.000 --------------> group 1
FC Zürich 7.000 --------------> group 1
FC Shkupi 1927 4.500 --------------> group 2
FC Pyunik 4.250 --------------> group 2

Well, I am quite sure any of the group 1 teams will hapily switch with Maccabi Haifa.
It is ridicoulous that the two weakest options on paper both go to group 2.

And HJK, Shamrock, Zalgiris and Linfield are the next weakest teams, although I'd say Linfield is weaker than both Pyunik or Diddeleng. The chances of Maccabi Haifa drawing Maribor/Sheriff are certainly higher than Zürich drawing Slovan.

I think that Pyunik might be tougher opponent than Linfield or Shamrock.

Okay, just checked the site, they got rid of the groupings for EL Q3 CH Path. I don't know why, but that doesn't make any sense

Maybe Uefa have noticed that their regulations don't allow groupings for this particular round and that in case Pyunik and Qarabag were drawn together, the second one drawn would just move to the next tie.

So we might have Shkupi vs Puynik/Dudelange !

Linfield Zalgiris Helsinki and Shamrock are also together, so there are decent chances for Linfield and Zalgiris to have a nice draw!
