amenina wrote: Sun Nov 06, 2022 19:24 In Norway, with one round to go, both Bodo/Glimt and Rosenborg are assured of a top three finish, and will qualify for ECL-Q2 at least.

The cup winner spot, to be decided next year, will also qualify for ECL-Q2 in the default access list. But if Russia remains banned next season, this spot will be promoted to Q3.

So either team still has the chance to start from Q3 if they win the cup, or if they finish second (to be decided next week) and Molde win the double.

Body/Glimt can also qualify for EL-GS if they win the ECL next year.

Lillestrom finish fourth, so if any of the top three win the cup, they will qualify for ECL-Q2 (of course if they win the cup, they will qualify for ECL-Q3 themselves).
Bodo/Glimt finished second, so assuming Russia continues to be banned, they will be promoted to ECL-Q3 if league champions Molde win the cup next year (of course if they win the cup, they will qualify for ECL-Q3 themselves).

League runners-up Derry City beat Shelbourne 4-0 in the final. Therefore, fourth place St Patrick’s Athletic qualified for ECL-Q1.
CSKA Sofia eliminated St. Patrick's Athletic in ECL-Q3 'last season'; let's see if they can do better this time!

As always, Wikipedia presents it very nicely!

Clubs in italics can qualify for a different phase or competition.

The final round of the Lithuanian league was played today. The teams which finished second, third and fourth are Kauno Zalgiris, Panevezys, and Hegelmann Litauen. These three teams will be playing in the ECL next year, since league champions Zalgiris also won the cup. All three teams will enter Q1 according to the default access list, but if Russia are banned, Kauno Zalgiris will be promoted to Q2. Hegelmann Litauen will be making their European debut.

And finally, the team which finished last, Jonava, have a record of 0 wins, 3 draws, 33 losses, 12 goals scored, 103 goals conceded. That has to be one of the worst record in European top-division football (not counting teams which have to forfeit matches).

The record may be broken this season by Airbus UK (Cymru Premier). They so far have 0 wins, 1 draw, 13 losses, 10 goals scored, 37 goals conceded!

The club was formed in 2009 and is owned by Hegelmann Transporte, a German-owned freight forwarding and logistics company. The capacity of their stadium is 500.

Spelling mistake: the club’s name should be Jonava.

They also have a better record away than home, since they got 2 of the 3 draws away.

You're underestimating the Estonian Meistriliiga and glorious Ajax Lasnamäe. :grin1:

Well, in terms of wins and points it isn't worse, but in terms of negative GD it blows even Jonava away.

In terms of points, there was Bulat from Kazakhstan:

This one blew my impressionable mind back in the day.

I knew about Ajax, couldn't remember their second name, but not Bulat.

Incredibly, that one point they got was against the champ, Aktobe! :o

Among these three teams, Jonava is the worst in offence, scoring on average 1 goal every three matches, but their defence is the best.

That Estonian team conceded 4.25 goals per match!

amenina wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 16:21 Thr Belarus league finished today. The top three which qualified for Europe are:
1. Shakhtyor Soligorsk (CL-Q1)
2. Energetik-BGU Minsk (ECL-Q1)
3. BATE Borisov (ECL-Q1)

The cup winner will be decided next year. They will qualify for ECL-Q1 in the default access list, but will be promoted to ECL-Q2 if Russia are banned (kind of ironic, isn’t it?).

So Energetik-BGU Minsk, which will be making their European debut, and BATE, may still be promoted to ECL-Q2 (these two will be playing each other in the round of 16 later this month).

Dinamo Minsk was edged out by BATE by goal difference and finished fourth. If any of the top three win the cup, they will qualify for ECL-Q1 (of course if they win the cup, they will qualify for ECL-Q2 themselves).
The league top four all played in the Belarus cup round of 16 today. Shakhtyor won, Energetik-BGU lost to BATE, while Dinamo Minsk lost. This means Dinamo Minsk can only qualify for Europe if Shakhtyor or BATE win the cup.

If Shakhtyor win the cup, Energetik-BGU will enter ECL-Q2, assuming Russia are banned. Otherwise, the cup winner will enter ECL-Q2.

The danish CW has the chance to start of in UEL Q3 next season.

That will happen if:

- Russia remains banned.
- UEL winner qualify for UCL domestically.
- UECL winner qualify for UCL/UEL domestically.

PS! @dnina10 helped me understand this.
