Their punishment: Brazil.

Uruguay finally scored, finally won a game. The scorer of both goals De Arrascaeta was the man of the match. And it still wasn't enough to progress because South Korea also won its game and finished with the same goal difference and more goals scored.
Once again Ghana missed a penalty kick against Uruguay. The player that missed the penalty kick, André Ayew, was the worst player of the match according to goalpoint. At least he scored in this World Cup, something that none of Uruguay's strikers could do.
Ronaldo was the worst player of the match. Of course that in the next match Fernando Santos will ignore this, find other players to blame for this defeat, and in the next match Ronaldo will be back to the starting XI. This defeat was "harmless" because Portugal still won the group. The next won't be.
Congratulations South Korea!
Iran won once, Saudi Arabia won once, Australia won twice and advanced, Japan won twice and advanced winning its group. It would be extra painful for South Korea to leave the World Cup winless today. Fortunately they won and advanced!
It's interesting that Paulo Bento couldn't progress from the World Cup group stages for Portugal in 2002 as a player, and the in 2014 as a manager. But now in 2022 he finally progressed from the World Cup group stages against Portugal (or alongside Portugal if you prefer).

In my opinion there was a penalty in favour of Uruguay, foul against Cavani.
The ref was the same as Milan-Chlsea, when gave a not existing penalty to Chelsea.
He didn't apply the same approach.

Hope for more partecipants in the next Prediction Game
To me it seems like a clear foul... By Cavani, who uses his leg to make them both fall
There was a clear penalty on Darwin (I think it was him) earlier, tho
In my opinion Cavani is in ball possession, protects the balls and reduces the speed, in order to be kicked by Ghana player. And that happens. Penalty IMHO.
If there is another penalty, this makes the ref Siebert performance terrible.

The other one was pretty clear, VAR saw it, called the referee and he didn't make the call, really bizarrefabiomh wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 16:43In my opinion Cavani is in ball possession, protects the balls and reduces the speed, in order to be kicked by Ghana player. Guys, I'm watching the FIFA 2 minutes highlights (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WJV99FHSVI) and the SportTV nearly 5 minutes highlights (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfY1qBx7OA0) and none shows those incidents nor the final whistle "afterparty" with several Uruguayans (with Giménez leading it) chasing the referees (compared to what they did, Paulo Bento is a choirboy).

For sure Siebert is one of the worst referees.

I also think that there was another penalty for Uruguay. Weiss decision and I can understand the Uruguyan anger
