So the UWCL preliminary round will also be held as mini-tournaments, with the winner of each 4-team "group" advancing to the first round. The difference is that there is no "dropping down" for the teams eliminated from the UWCL preliminary round, while for the UWCL round 1, the runners-up (to round 2) and the 3rd-placed teams (to round 1) will drop down to UW2L, with only the 4th-placed teams out of Europe. Interestingly, the losers of UWCL round 2 will also drop down to UW2L round 2, i.e., the same round as the UWCL round 1 runners-up.

So here is the provisional default access list, based on the current coefficient ranking (after 2023/24 UWCL GS MD2). There will be some rebalancing necessary, e.g., the UW2L title holder spot in Round 2 Champions Path will not be used, but since I do not know for sure how UEFA will make changes, I will leave it as it is.

I just noticed that the French League has knockout playoffs for the top 4 teams after the season which will include a 3rd place playoff. Does this mean that the top team after the Round Robin may be completely out of UWCL if they end up 4th in the play offs?? When Switzerland applied them one spot was going to Champion after playoffs and the second to RR winner when they still had two spots.

No idea, sorry TommyChat. I wasn't not even aware that they put the play-offs in place at the end of the season.

PHASE FINALE D1 ARKEMA
Le prochain championnat de France féminin de D1 Arkema s'achèvera par une phase finale (demi-finales, finale) qui réunira les quatre premières équipes du classement. Les demi-finales a élimination directe opposeront le 1er au 4e et le 2e au 3e. La finale se disputera sur le terrain de la mieux classée au terme de la saison régulière. Une petite finale décidera de la troisième place européenne.

So all European places will be decided by the knockout playoffs. If you finish 1st in the regular season, you can still drop out of Europe completely if you lose two matches in a row (although both will be guaranteed at your home venue).
