You can never trust the Belgian team, not even against Slovakia, wow. Two big surprises in the group.

Quite a surprise. One of Romania or Slovakia might top the group, hilarious. Bravo Slovakia! Belgium are overhyped, always with a lot of promise, but never deliver. :applause:

Belgium being constantly in the first 5 places of FIFA ranking, even 1st for a while, shows that this ranking is still quite a fraud, despite the improvements.

Belgium reached only a WC/EC semifinal in 10 years, one time out of 5 attempts since 2014.

It's because they were rolling over their qualifying groups while others dropped points.

More like: "The group of life? Might as well prove them right and get us a good R16 spot!"
Mrs Hardy: He's a black belt in karate, you know.
Richard Twat: More like a pink belt in hanging about gentlemen's lavatories on Hamstead Heath.
:-D
Hopefully you'll explain that reference to me, hah!

Is it Monty Python, Dr. Who or any of those classical British TV Shows which left their mark on US audiences but are almost unheard of in Latin America? The only British show I've watched is (don't laugh) The Inbetweeners. Very juvenile and cringe-inducing but hilarious nonetheless.

Two upsets in the Group where they were the least expected!

Can we see another one by Austria?

I hope we will not. From Polish point of view it would be better to play vs already qualified France with 6 points on last MD.

I don't know it either, but I googled it and it's from something called Guest House Paradiso which I've never even heard of.

This one was more of a handball. Ref was quite poor throughout the game. Hey-ho Belgium had plenty of chances. Need to be less wasteful in the next games.

In a 16 or 32 teams format, the Belgium defeat could have been dangerous, but this stupid 24 team format just dilutes the impact of the defeat as Belgium basically still only need a win vs either Romania or Ukraine to be in the R16 (3PT 0GD, and 3PT -1GD was enough in 2016 and 2021, respectively). Maybe they will do a Portugal like in 2016 and just use the bug of the format to win the tournament. Or maybe this is Argentina vs Saudis as in 2022.

But also if you go by them, 3pts is more likely to see you out than in. 4 teams survived with 3pts, 5 were eliminated. One survivor was Denmark, who finished 2nd with 3. One of the eliminated from that same group was Russia, who finished bottom with 3.

I will not be shocked if this group ends up with all 4 teams with 4 point while a 3 points team from another group advances.
