2nd qualifying round

Seeded teams:

• PAOK
• Maccabi Tel Aviv
• Ferencvaros
• Qarabag
• Slovan Bratislava/Struga
• Bodo/Glimt
• Ludogorets/Dinamo Batumi
• Midtjyalland
• Sparta Praha
• Malmo
• APOEL
• HJK/Panevezys

Unseeded teams:

• Flora/Celje
• Virtus/FCSB
• KI/Differdange
• Vikingur Reykjavik/Shamrock Rovers
• Hamrun/Lincoln
• TNS/Decic
• Pyunik/Dinamo Minsk
• RFS/Larne
• Ordabasy/Petrocub
• Ballkani/UE Santa Coloma
• Borac Banja Luka/Egnatia
• Jagiellonia

There's a clear divide between seeded and unseeded teams. It looks like a boring round.
HJK the team to draw for every unseeded side.

I agree. There are very few unseeded teams here that can make an impact. FCSB, Jagiellonia, and maybe the winner between Ordabasy/Petrocub might pose a threat to some seeded sides.

I want to see PAOK, Fradi, Qarabag, Dinamo Batumi (it'll be probably Ludogorets) in the next round from the seeded and good luck - get HJK Helsinki - to Steaua, Ordabasy, Borac and Jagiellonia.

I'm sure there will be 1 or 2 upsets in this round as is usually the case. HJK and Slovan are undoubtedly the teams to draw for the unseeded. Not sure how strong APOEL is these days? They certainly have the European pedigree and experience though.

The seeded will want to avoid FCSB and Jagiellonia at all costs.

Panevezys a bye to the ECLQ3 if they lose to HJK (who am I kidding?). With their form in the Lithuanian league, it's hard to expect decent results.

Why Swe/Den/Nor seeds in this round are always avoiding the strongest unseeeds in these groupings?

OMG 25% chance that Polish club will face Qarabag again... :sigh: Maccabi TA would be favorites vs Jagiellonia, same for Qarabag. Slovan/Struga would not be that bad and Panevezys/HJK would be perfect with Jagiellonia as clear favorites.

Group 3 seems to set up some strong ties that may produce an upset.

Jagellonia and FCSB are dangerous IMO.

Problem with Jagiellonia is that their players have no European experience and for me it matters a lot. They are also not that strong just because they are Polish champions. Jaga took advantage that Legia, Lech and Raków had their issues throughout the season. Bookies rate Legia, Lech, Raków as main favorites to be the champions next season. Jagiellonia is 4th in order.

Isn't the simple explanation that UEFA uses a pretty much geographical groupings in this round and the unseeded in this region are typically quite weak. Though Jagiellonia could have easily ended up in this "northern" group as well but didn't.
