Coach Transfers
Coach Transfers
Besides players transfers, there is something interesting (i think even more important for clubs), and that is Coach Transfers ...
This summer is very ''hot'', many big CL clubs are changing their coaches. What are your expectations ?
- New era of Barcelona (under Guardiola)
- New era of Bayern (under Klinsmann)
- Chelsea - Scolari, Lippi, Mancini ?
- Inter - Mourinho ?
- Hamburg - ?
- Milan ?
- ? - Ericsson
- ? - Rijkaard
- PSV - (Stevens is coming back in PSV or in Ajax? )
Some great coaches are still unemployed ...
I expect even more sacking after (during) Euro, when many NT coaches will become available ...
How these changes will affect on teams ?
I am sure new Barcelona will play completely different football, Chelsea too ... Can Mourinho transform Inter into CL favourite ?!

Unlike most of the portuguese, I think Scolari is a great coach and would be a great choice for Chelsea (unless he has become lazy after so many years working at national teams having one match per month).
Ericsson is going to Mexico to coach the NT.
And I think Real Madrid can be added to the discussion. Schuster doesn't have his job that secure, does he?

I was under impression that Martin Jol will replace Stevens at HSV. Isn't this true?!dzomba wrote: - Hamburg - ?

I think Fenerbahce is waiting reply for their offer because thet have not signed new contract with Zico...It is almost impossible for Fenerbahce to have a coach out of Brazil...So choices are Scolari, Luxemburgo or recent one-Zico...Kaiser wrote:And Scolari is going to Fenerbahce...
I prefer Zico..

There are a lot of high profile coach changes in the Bundesliga:
Bayern: Klinsmann will start his job as we know since january
-> I have no idea how this will effect the team.
Schalke: Also known for a couple of weeks: Fred Rutten will overtake the club next season
-> don't know too much about how Ruttens teams play, hopefully they'll finally do what Schalke promised for years and play a bit more offensive and spectacular.
Hamburg: Martin Jol is confirmed as the new head coach
-> Jol already told in an interview that his emphasis will be on attack, which might start a new era in Hamburg after Stevens rather defensive tactics
Leverkusen: According to the press, Bruno Labbadia will be the new coach, Skibbe was recently fired.
-> No idea about Labbadia, I doubt it's an improvement
Borussia Dortmund: Doll was replaced by former Mainz head coach Jürgen Klopp, who is a bit of a star coach in Germany, I think I wrote a bit about him in a coach thread elsewhere in this forum, which I am too lazy to search now
-> well, it can only get better after the last season... But I doubt he'll be overly successfull in his first year, we'll have to see if he survives that hellhole long enough to shape a decent team.
