Xabi Alonso decided to stay in Leverkusen for the next season. Despite not being a coach transfer news properly these are big news as two mamooths such as Bayern and LFC were losing their managers this summer and Alonso looked like an imminent transfer for any of them. Bayern can only hope Nagelsmann after the Euros, and LFC might be seduced by the former captain Steven Gerard.

Gerrard? I doubt it. Show little to earn a place at Liverpool.

Besiktas have parted ways with former Portugal coach Fernando Santos, the Turkish club said on Saturday.

Santos, who was appointed at the Super Lig side in January, left the 16-times Turkish champions fourth in the standings on 48 points, 36 behind leaders Galatasaray. Besiktas are winless in their last five games.

Santos, who won Euro 2016 with Portugal, coached his national side between 2014-2022.

In January 2023 he took over Poland, who parted ways with Santos eight months later when their defeat in Albania left them struggling to qualify for Euro 2024.

Nagelsmann extends his contract with Germany, a bit surprising after the recent news. Several sources reported that he is Bayern's favorite candidate after Tuchel since the former bosses Kahn and Salihamidzic (who wanted Nagelsmann's sacking) are gone. And it looked like Nagelsmann liked this idea too. But he wants to continue with Germany after the successful friendly games.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Zidane is the new top favorite and one step away from joining Bayern.

Never trust them, it was completely wrong. Bayern wanted Xabi Alonso, then Nagelsmann back. Both wanted to stay. So Bayern thought "lets take Rangnick!". Everything seemed to be clear, it was a matter of days or even hours and German media didn't have any doubts that Rangnick says yes. Now he surprisingly rejected the offer. :fingal: Very interesting to see what will happen next. Turnaround with Tuchel? Or different coach who would be 4th choice?

PS: most of the Bayern fans are happy that Rangnick rejected the offer. And Austria probably too.

If there are no volunteers to coach Bayern, I can be their new manager... or Jackson Harrison would be glad to take this job as well.

Graham Potter is available!

Might even work. He beat Dortmund in the CL last 16 with that miserable Chelsea team and has mostly done good things with limited resources as a manager.

Maybe this is the guy Bayern (or Man Utd or Chelsea) are looking for? :wink_anim:
