Re: Danish football season 2023/24

FCK despite dominating large parts of the game lost 1:2 to Midtjylland. Two blunders from keeper Grabara and defender Vavro in the first half and now Midtjylland are in pole position. But I am not sure they will hold to it, they play next away at Nordsjælland so every chance they lose there. What a ...

Re: Ice Hockey

Imagine how hard it will be for Poland - and for Hungary for that matter - to play in group A once Russia and Belarus are back. And they will be back sooner rather than later. I wouldn't call Belarus an ice hockey giant :D And I doubt Russia will be back soon, as long as Putin is in power no way an...

Re: Ice Hockey

Ice hockey is one of the few sports in which absence of Russia really decrease the level of competition and my interest in it. Though of course I perfectly understand the reasons for the ban and support it.

Re: Ukrainian Football Season 2023/24

And btw I think Shakhtar qualified for Champs League group stages as champion with the highest coefficient among those who didn't qualify automatically. Only if Real Madrid win UCL. If Dortmund win UCL, they will claim the title holder spot, and the EPS spot originally given to Germany 5th placed t...

Re: French season 2023/24

Its funny how two John Textor's teams went in opposite directions in the past 8-9 months. Botafogo in Brazil had a gigantic lead in the title race, more than 10 points and threw it away, finished only fifth. Lyon on the other hand was in the relegation places in the first half of the season but seco...

Re: Danish football season 2023/24

Yeah, very exciting end of the season with 4 teams still in the title race. About a month ago Brondby had a substantial lead but they won only once in the last 6 matches.

Re: Ukrainian Football Season 2023/24

Mudrik was sold to Chelsea for 70 million euros + 30 million bonuses, and every year the team participates in the Champions League group and this is approximately 40-50 million euros every year I think this summer Shakhtar will make 2-3 more good quality transfers and Marlon Gomez and Kevin did not...

Tazmania wrote: Fri Feb 23, 2024 01:36 This is the first time it has appeared in the regulations and it was inserted for FIFA to use the 2024/25 UNL ranking; FIFA used the world ranking for the draws in the other confederations (excluding Conmebol of course).
Is it confirmed that they will use UNL ranking instead of FIFA ranking?

Re: EURO 2024 - qualifiers

As for Georgia yes they are outsiders of the group but against Turkey and Czech rep they can get something. Against Portugal I doubt it, too big difference in quality

Re: EURO 2024 - qualifiers

Congrats to Poland, Georgia and Ukraine. I expected Greece and Wales to advance, but both were decided in PSO so it's not a shame for me. Hard group for Poland with France, Netherlands and Austria. The game against Austria in Berlin could be crucial for the 3rd place. Georgia are with Portugal, Tur...

Re: EURO 2024 - qualifiers

In Poland it is Konstantin Vassiljev who is best known Estonian player. He is 39 years old and in normal circumstances would play today but he is slightly injured. Yeah I know Vassiljev, was also an important player for Amkar in the Russian Premier League for several years. But you can't compare Po...

Re: EURO 2024 - qualifiers

Yes Georgia played better but also could have been a different match if 2 major decisions (Kakabadze not getting a red and Lux goal annulled) went Lux way

Re: EURO 2024 - qualifiers

Just saw Ragnar Klavan in the Estonian line-up. Probably the most famous Estonian player ever, played for Liverpool but I thought he retired already several years ago, he is almost 40 years old :grin1:

Re: EURO 2024 - qualifiers

Well, I support Georgia in this match but have to say referee and VAR killed Luxembourg. Kakabadze could have been sent off in the first half and Lux goal should have stood. Absurd VAR intervention, Georgian player was holding first.
