Re: 2019/20 EL Round of 16
I heard that when the temperature gets higher the virus will not survive that easily. Not sure how much is true about that however. That would maybe mean it takes a shorter time in Europe then it has taken in China. People keep saying that but in Iran temperatures are good at sea level. But if not ...

I heard that when the temperature gets higher the virus will not survive that easily. Not sure how much is true about that however. That would maybe mean it takes a shorter time in Europe then it has taken in China. I think people say this because it was this way with the Spanish flu and is also so...

Re: 2019/20 CL Round of 16
Leipzig - Tottenham will have an audience. But at the weekend the Bundesliga games Dortmund - Schalke and Gladbach - Köln won't. I suspect there will be more games behind closed doors in Germany in the future, so some more CL and EL might be affected, too. The Coronavirus is unstoppable. There are m...

Re: UEFA Nations League 2020/21
What is the problem between Russia and Kosovo? Russia won't recognize Kosovo as an independent state. Russia have close relations with Serbia and see Kosovo as part of Serbia. But why aren't there more countries on this list then? It is not like Russia is the only UEFA country not recognizing Kosov...

Re: UEFA and elite clubs prepare in secret Champions' revolution
All 36 professional German teams are against this reform. Not that it matters. When the money will get bigger in the pockets of the clubs good enough to get into the CL, they might change their tune. Or they may still say something against it, but won't take up action and just take the money. I gues...

Re: [CL final] Liverpool v Tottenham
I must admit I haven't watched the final or many other CL games this year. In the past season there was one game on free TV in Germany on Wednesday. This season for the first time all the CL games were on pay TV. The audience during the group phase on Wednesday went down by 84 % compared to last sea...

Re: New Champions League at 2024 and on
It is not like even only the EL winner will get a spot in the CL. https://twitter.com/RobHarris/status/1126597303333269504/photo/1 All four semi finalists will get into the CL next year. It could be theoretically possible that 4 English teams are there with how the whole league system with promotion...

Re: CL Semi-finals 2018-19
This year will be the first time that the CL final won't air on free TV in Germany. So this game will definitely set a new negative record when it comes to numbers of German viewers.

Re: UEFA and elite clubs prepare in secret Champions' revolution
Here is the proposed format in a graphic: https://twitter.com/RobHarris/status/1126597303333269504/photo/1 CL: 32 teams (the worst 8 of them might end up on level 2) EL: 32 teams (best 4 reaches level 1) EL2: 64 teams (best 4 reaches level 2) No idea, who will get into those leagues via position in ...

Frankfurt is by the way the first German team in the history of the EL which managed to win all GS games.

It would be kind of tragic if Hoffenheim wins in Manchester and still doesn't get the 3rd place, so I am rooting for Lyon, too. Just in case Hoffenheim gets an away win.

Re: UEFA Nations League 2018/19
To qualify Germany doesn't even have to beat the pot 1 team and if they can't stay in front of the lower pots teams, then they are simply so bad that they don't deserve to go to the Euro. I hope Germany will improve. It can hardly get more horrible than the whole year of 2018. That was a historical...
