I can never see how people say this. Of course they belong in the CLGS. They won their domestic leagues and belong in the group stage. They certainly belong more so than those fourth place teams... Ferencvaros entered this season as the champion of the 33rd country so they don't belong in your vers...

If Gent wants to collect as many points as possible isn't it preferable to go to the EL? Very rarely you can overcome 5 points bonus gap. I don't have statistics but I'm pretty sure 90% teams would get more points qualifying for CL instead of dropping to EL. And obviously you wouldn't aim for EL ev...

So disappointing we missed out on potential Pot 2 by one place while not being in CL for years and going out in EL group stage last season. It would be so dumb

Like if Leicester would have finished last season a little bit better.
