Re: AFC Champions League
As Carson noted, the allocation is now based on performance in the ACL and ACC (Asian Cup - similar to Europa League) accounting for 90% and FIFA ranking - 10%. FIFA ranking will be out of the formula in 2 years time. Dragonite, you can see the improvements by looking at the 2018 ACL slot allocation...

Has Bauza been fired?Dragonite wrote:Ventura claims that he had “excellent results”!
He should apply for the Saudi Arabia job, it is currently vacant. Maybe they’ll also consider his results “excellent”…

Re: Nations League
Finland might want to stay in league D, to have a very good shot at qualifying for Euro 2020 via the League D play-offs. I do hope no one throws matches in order to drop into D to use D as a platform to qualify for a Euro. I think Latvia are the only team currently in D to have qualified before. It...

Absolutely. I would like to point out clubelo had Rangers to qualify after winning 1-0 at home - 94.6%.
So I'm not looking to rain on Malko's parade. I just saw the stats and as I'm a fan of Lars' website, I posted them here and on the EL thread. I like a good underdog story as much as anyone

Re: EL 2nd qualifying round 2017-18
Tomorrow the game against Hajduk will be the most important for the whole season for Levski. We need time for our squad, and if we will im sure we will not have any big problems against Brondby. We already signed Jordi Gomez, and tommorow Gabriel Obertan and a Primera Division central defender will...

In League2 we already know the name of a new promoted team: Juventus Bucuresti. Is a team who last year camed from League3 and now will win without problems the second league also. The rest of the fight for another direct promotion place and 1 playoff game is very open: 1. Juventus Bucuresti 60 2. ...

Re: 2018 Russia qualifying competitions
Not looking to nitpick, but I think Australia are quite happy in AFC. They won the Asian Cup and the AFC CL. Even with a guaranteed spot for the WC, I see no reason for them to return.
Looking forward to cheap teleportation. Then the global qualifiers would be finally feasible

Re: 2018 Russia qualifying competitions
Now, I don't rule the world That's too bad :) When you do rule the world, please try to get Israel back in AFC. Politics and football shouldn't mix. This way OFC would be reinforced and the almost guaranteed qualification (not just to the WC, but also to the Confeds Cup, U20 and U17 WC's, CWC, Wome...
