Re: CL reform for the 2018-2021 cycle
Number of Fans on official FB pages, show GLOBAL interest in the teams. Numbers speak for themselves. It seems Turkey has the most potential to become a big league more than Russia, and Portugal still has the 3 most loved teams outside Spain, England, Germany, Italy, France and Turkey. The netherlan...

Re: Super Leagues Idea
Want to know what a TOP club is right now? Just see the likes they have on their FB official pages. That shows the level of interest people have in that club globally. Numbers speak for themselves. It seems Turkey has the most potential to become a big league more than Russia, and Portugal still has...

Re: English PL, etc, 2017-18
Are you still expecting them to get 60 points, or even go higher? Of course not. I'd expect their position to be the actual position of Burnley and instead, total meltdown that needs some explanation. There's plenty evidence that Marco Silva is a good coach and the potential to make points with thi...

I'm glad you agree and aknowledge the refereeing was bad. New technologies now!Overgame wrote: 8th minute first goal. One player is offside, the goal goes in his direction. It wouldn't have been a scandal if the assistant said "offside". (...)
38th minute : the red card for Ghezzal is a joke.

Re: Downfall of Portuguese football League
And UEFA, Germany and The Netherlands accumulated €0.5b of debts? Again quoting words of your ex-finance-minister, since you ignore it completely last time: http://www.defenddemocracy.press/dijsselbloem-speaks-the-confessions-of-an-economic-hit-man/ “We have used the money of the taxpayers to save ...

Re: Downfall of Portuguese football League
Alice: Your chauvinism is funny but please take your off topic brabble to it's own topic. It was a direct response to your own chauvinism and your minister previous chauvinism. and IT is directly related to the topic: If you live in a country that is constantly robbed and blackmailed perhaps clubs ...

Re: 2017/18 CL GRP G Monaco x Porto x Beşiktaş x Leipzig
Stop watching the games from another dimension. You are boring. Even when Porto wins 5-2 you blame the ref ..... Stop watching football if you don't even kniow the rules. I will always complain about bad refereeing regardless of result. Porto winning 5-2 is independent of double standards happening...

Re: Downfall of Portuguese football League
Yes, they are all corrupt. It's a national attitude, together with accumulating debts. I suggest you listen to your own ex-finance minister and eurogroup president. http://www.defenddemocracy.press/dijsselbloem-speaks-the-confessions-of-an-economic-hit-man/ You can then gather data about who really...

Re: 2017/18 CL GRP A Benfica x Manchester United x FC Basel x CSKA Moscow
Benfica needs to make a revolution, but I don't know if they will be able to make it. If we see it game by game I agree with their coach, Rui Vitória. Benfica did an appaling game in Basel losing by 5-0, but in the remaining 5 games Benfica had realistic chances to get other results. Let's look at a...

Re: 2017/18 CL GRP G Monaco x Porto x Beşiktaş x Leipzig
Very decent game by Porto with glaring referee mistakes and huge bias in Monaco favour. In the end Porto accomplished and saved the "portuguese" honor for the season. I'd like either Roma, Tottenham or Liverpool next please.

Re: EL Round 2 (Last 32) [2017/18]
Well, some Iberian teams always reach very far no matter how weak they look. Even Sporting in 2005 and 2012 and Braga in 2011 had their realistic shots to win the title... Zenit did win in 2008 but appart from that? Napoli and Dortmund never really looked to have a shot, Atletico did win 2 cups rece...

Re: Portuguese Football Season 2017/18
I'm going to quote myself The point of VAR is to reduce the overall number of mistakes. If you have LESS mistakes that is a good thing by itself, to ideally reach zero mistakes. I'm happy the way things are going. I don't want to return to a stage where we have MORE mistakes. I think the more inform...

Re: EL KO-Round Red Bull
Most of these issues are easy to solve: teams that are "the same" should not play in the same competition/divison/country, exactly the same way B teams can't compete in the same league. Furthermore I believe player loans should only be allowed to clubs from lower divisions or abroad, and i...

Re: Video Referee
So far this season, AS Roma has conceded two penalty-kicks because of VAR - correctly so - but two penalty-kicks at the other end were not reviewed nor given, costing the club 5 points. How is that fair? Are you telling me that you prefer 2 mistakes, one for each side, instead of just 1 mistake for...

Re: Downfall of Portuguese football League
Duketown, you seem so intelligent and data driven sometimes you could use your brain a bit more on this particular subject. How many Portuguese people there are in Portugal? 10 million, 1.5 of which are descendents from Angola, Mozambique, Guinea, Brazil, Cape Verde... (estimated). On the other hand...
