Now that I think about it though, it's not a done deal yet, they're still in the Champions League!

Probably an eastern team will have more chances to win against Reims in the EL qualifiers (rather than against Lyon).

Can't argue with that. In ELQ2 among the unseeded teams are the likes of Soligorsk, Honved, Ordabasy, Neftchi etc. Against Lyon their chances are miniscule, not more than 5% while against Reims maybe 10-15%, maybe more on paper, mathematically. Later rounds are different of course, Reims might be unseeded. I know I'm probably in the minority, but I'd choose Lyon in the draw if I'm a minnow. (I'm still in the past dreaming about a two-legged tie.)
P.S. It's easier to understand if we talk about Milan vs. Sassuolo or Verona etc. Once in a lifetime chance for players, fans.

Yes first time without Europe since 1996/97

Boring game without real chances from both sides. The 0-0 perfectly reflects what happened on the pitch.
Weather conditions (40.6 C in Paris !) didn’t help but the technical level was worrying with the champions league coming.

This was the last edition of this League Cup. With 9 titles PSG were by far the most titled team in this competition.
