So according to this, Chris Smalling is the best CB in serie a. Nice! :smile1:

I wonder if he's done well enough to get in the England team.

Spezia is the last promoted team. They will play in Serie A for the first time. The small Liguria has now three teams in the top divison (Genoa, Sampdoria and Spezia).

They never played in Serie A, but they still have one ad honorem title.
During WWII, an interregional tournament was organized in Northern Italy (where competitive teams were from) and Spezia players managed to win it - even if they were technically playing for the team of their city Firefighters. It was later recognized as an official title, but not as a proper scudetto.
This is also the reason for the scudetto-ish badge you can see on their jerseys.
