The two-leg final for a place in LaLiga 2020-2021

Thurs. 20 August 2200 CET Elche-Girona Update: this game will be carried live on fubo.tv here in the USA-- :applause: :applause: :applause:

Sunday 23 August 2200 CET Girona-Elche Update: as expected, this game will be carried live on fubo.tv in the USA. It does conflict with the second half of the Final of the CL . . .

. . . And once this is over, we should get the new league schedule very soon :!:

First leg--promotion playoff for a spot in First Division 2020-2021

Elche 0, Girona 0 Full time. Scoreless first half in the Martínez Valero. Field is in terrible shape :!: :( And the first leg ends scoreless. Elche has yet to concede a goal in the three playoff games they've played thus far.

So it's Girona-Elche on Sunday at 2200 CET in Montilive for a spot in the First Division.

So while today we have the CL Final at 2100 CET, what's REALLY important starts an hour later at Montilivi in Girona, where one of two teams will come away having won the right to play in LaLiga (ie First Division) in the coming season. In the first leg, Elche and Girona played to a scoreless tie. Today

2200 Girona 0, Elche 1 Full time--and I got to watch once the CL Final was over :!: :D At 61', Stuani sees a red card, and it looks bad for Girona without their top forward. The game has eight minutes added; at 96', Pere Milla scores the winner :!:

Congrats to Elche, back in First Division after a five-year absence. Elche gave up NO GOALS in the four games they played in the playoffs :!: :applause: :applause: :applause:

The greatest football story of the summer must surely be the promoton of Elche. A film could be made out of it. Insane stuff.

That would be good for Barça. They had a bad season and bad past transfers and they are having some financial issues, so this will be a re-builduing year.
When Messi leaves, they will have to rebuild the team again,so it would be just one season instead of 2.

For him, he only had success in Barça. And the only teams that can pay him: Qatar FC or UAE City, hasn't higher chances of success (CL).

I think its more a pressure to get a good contract and extend his power. He already managed to not get his salary cut (like Piquet, Busquets & company)...

But I would love to see a new Orange Barça.
