Genk leads 1-0 at HT after a silly penalty Freire gave, which was repeated since the German referee decided that Olympiacos GK had moved off the line.

The match is devoid of chances since Olympiacos cannot play in a high tempo and even 1-0 down seeks to slow down the match and find a goal somehow at some point.

Genk reduced to ten man after the goalscoring Paintsil got send off. Genk was way better up to now, but this might ruin their game.

Big present for naive Genk player.
Now Olympiacos can feel more confident

Dnipro - Slavia 1-1

Not very exciting match, Slavia in control most of the time and not really trying to win the match but only to go through to the next round. Dnipro lead 1-0 at HT but never looked like being able to score another two goals.

Olympiakos was terrible but Paintsil is an idiot and gifted them a present

Olympiacos will be in European Groups, hugh sigh of relief after a match in which Olympiacos showed once again that this squad is mediocre, not fast enough, not physical enough and not skilled enough for a high level.

But they were defensively good enough to not allow Genk a lot of chances, and Genk gifted them a numerical advantage of nowhere.

Alexandropoulos, coach Martinez's sub scored in the 95th minute and secured a minimum of 3 clubs in Groups for Greece!

Olympiacos now faces an easier opponent, Cukaricki, in their effort to reach EL Groups.

No surprises in this round. Perhaps I expected a bit more from Zalgiris, considering they kept the aggregate score against Galatasaray close, but in terms of who went through and who went out, pretty much as expected.

They are not performing at their best, also in the league. You have more than just a good shot, I think you might be favorites for this one.
