Michele got West Germany 54, England 82 and Brazil 78 right, drvasko78 added the last correct answer Scotland 74. They were eliminated on GD by Yugoslavia and Brazil after a win and two draws.

1. West Germany 1954
2. West Germany 1974
3. Argentine 1978
4. Spain 2010

1. Scotland 1974
2. Beazil 1978
3. Cameroon 1982
4. England 1982
5. New Zealand 2010

Next question should go to drvasco78 or Michele.

I deliberately didn't complete the last answer because I didn't want to have to come up with new stupid questions like my recent Senegal-disaster. So I very much suggest that drvasko takes the next question, as the rules say he should, or gives the serve free with the inherent risk that the thread will take another 12+ months hiatus.

Okay, okay then. Let me breathe some life into this quiz.

Six nations who have previously qualified for a World Cup have already been eliminated from the 2014 qualifiers. Which are these six teams?

PS. You need to answer this question before feb 29 as new teams may be added on that day.

I'll try these six:

China
Indonesia (participated as Dutch East Indies somewhere in the 30s)
North Korea
Haiti
Trinidad and Tobago
United Arab Emirates

Eleven is the number of players in a team. It is also the number of Dutch clubs that have participated in the European Clubs Championships (ECCC and UCL). Name the 11 clubs.

You have named 7 of the 11 clubs, including Roda.

Rapid JC has participated in the late fifties, they merged with Roda Sport to form Roda JC. There are two similar cases.

You got 9 of them. Only two missing now.

The remaining two have not been named yet. One of them is quite difficult, since it merged into a club that no longer exists. The original club is still active but is now on the 7th level, after three consecutive relegation (including one double relegation following the introduction of a smaller third level a few years ago). The club has participated in the middle of the 60s.

The other club has participated in the late 50s. However the club merged with two other clubs into a club that has been active lately in other UEFA club competitions, though it's not exactly the same club. So, this one shouldn't be too difficult.

In 1970 FC Utrecht was formed after a merger with DOS Utrecht, Elinkwijk and Velox. While FC Utrecht never participated, DOS did. After the merger DOS continued as an amateur team but was disbanded 7 years ago.

The other team is from Amsterdam and reached the quarter finals in 1965. After a merger with Blauw-Wit Amsterdam and De Volewijckers, a new team was formed. The new club has participated in the UEFA Cup once. Also this time they reached the quarter finals.
Hint: the name is quite similar to DOS, but one of the three letters is different.

This must be FC Amsterdam, former DWS Amsterdam.

But I'm not sure who I have to exclude from the list of shineB4. :?:
