Thanks,
I seem to be prospering in second legs (also were (joined-)first in the quarters). Unfortunately the final is only a first leg
Well, I am already happy that I have came this far, I was only nr 18 in the winterbreak! (Though then I had only 17 points les than bjkman)
By the way isn't the winner of the semi's supposed to go to the final? with only 1 opposition left? :)

With 6 points left to score I can still be in the top-3!!

Thanks Bjkman for your great job

Ricardo: this is a concern I have, to keep everybody involved until the end whereas it looks like obvious that players have no chance to win.

Next year I will add to this 'league' system (i.e. addition of points earned all season long) a 'cup' system where players could play vs. each other using the same predictions. We already do this in our Lyon forums and that works very well.

Let's talk about that when this season is over. There is a beautiful contest between Bjkman and Martijn for the trophy

Lyonnais,

interesting this cupsystem. But will there be seeding? based on performance of the last 5 years? THAT would make it interesting, maybe we can also get country seeding, I mean a Souther-European is known to do more from passion, Nordish peoaple more from Calculation.....

Interesting stuff this cup system :). I'm looking forward to next year, but I doubt I'll make much of an impression. I have a hard time making the difference between whom I want to win and whom I think will win. In fact most of the times I'll choose the first :P. I guess this is one of those latin-southern influences :)

Of course, there will be some seedings, using country coefficients :grin1:

STK, please ignore this, this was a (bad) joke (do you imagine the number of direct entries we would have to give to the Netherlands and Belgium. That would be indecent).

If you are interested, maybe we could imagine having 2 cups, in addition to the league:

- a 'Champions League" where the best 32 players of this year would play against each other using the same format as the real UCL

- a 'UEFA Cup' opened to everybody, i.e. including new joiners and participants to the Champions League, that would be based on the UEFA Cup format.
