But anyone beating Hambourg SV is a good thing :-).
Hwat i wanted to say, is, that it was better, when anybody had a chance to win an european cup. Now, its only spanish, italian and english teams.....with Porto the last exception, but already a long time ago.....

What? Bayern almost won it this season. And other than them, both Dortmund and Porto have more chances of winning it next season than any Italian team at the moment.

I don't give Dortmund many chances after what they did this year... And they are probably going to be pot 4 again.

Thunder PT, almost, yes, but only almost. german teams are not capable to win any european Cup for 12 years now too.

ngfsmg, if you give Dortmund a chance, you shoukd geive at least the same chance to Montpellier, which did not more and not less than Dortmund

Dortmund is German champion and Montpellier is French champion, and it's the only similarity I can found between them (probably a CL failure will be one mor point in common after December...). Dortmund was champion in 2011, what was Montpellier doing then? And Dortmund didn't lose with Gyori ETO (with all respect for Gyori) at Europa League ...

ngfsmg, Dortmund was twice champion and failed twice in European Cups.
Montpellier is one time champion and failed one time in European cups (in the last years for both).
Thats another similarity. (even if it's a point for Montpellier : failing once can be an accident, twice is not....)
Both were no doubt the two best teams in their (similar) leagues....
But it will be important that Montpellier keeps its best players, so i think they are even a little stronger than the German side.
You wanna have my opinion: none of them goes to quarters.

BTW: on the luxembourgish Cupfinal yesterday, i saw the first Montpellier-shirts for long.........they begin to be internationally known and popular.

Even if what you are saying was totally true, Montpellier won't have half of their team next year, Dortmund will.

1 i hope it won't be like that. Cause Louis Nicollin, the president, said that the aim now is to keep the players for next year. This means, he will do much financial effort. But not only that. Some players should know that it's too early for them to go to Real,Barca or Chelsea, and too stupid to go anywhere else.., ike Dortmund, Newcastle or Sevilla........but the best to stay one or 2 more years in Montpellier. and than a big club can be interesting.
