After Žodino-Južnoe and Krumkači withdrew from the competition, the Belarusian FA now has this stange idea of including four reserve teams in the first league.

The official decision will be made in the next days. The season starts this weekend with two cup matches.

Cymru Premier:

In the Championship group, Bala Town 1-0 Connah's Quay, and TNS 4-0 Cardiff MU, so TNS are champions. Connah's Quay Nomads and Bala Town are close to qualifying for ECL-Q1 (since they are also in the Cup SFs together with TNS and Cardiff MU).

Brad Young (TNS) will probably be this season's top-scorer. Aaron Williams (Newtown) was top-scorer in the regular season, but obviously Newtown is one of the weakest clubs in the Championship group and therefore its strikers score fewer goals in this round.

In the relegation group, we had the top three clubs playing against the bottom three clubs.
Big away win for Pontypridd United (Penybont 0–1 Pontypridd United) and things look brighter for the Dragons. The other two matches ended in a draw (Aberystwyth Town 1–1 Barry Town United and Colwyn Bay 0–0 Haverfordwest County); the Seagulls and the Seasiders remain bottom with 6 MDs left.

It shouldn't happen, but UEFA don't care and that's bad for football.
Qarabag - Leverkusen 2:2, the Azeris lead 2:0 against a weakened German team, a shocking result if would stay till the end, but Leverkusen brought on their stars and managed to avoid defeat. Still this 2:2 a fantastic result against a team who top the Bundesliga by 10 points ahead of Bayern Munchen. Bravo Qarabag!

Cymru Premier:

Big win for TNS in the derby (Connah's Quay 1-5 The New Saints [0-4 after the first 40 minutes])!

Also, big away win for Penybont (Haverfordwest County 0–1 Penybont) in the battle for the last ECL-Q1 play-off position! Haverfordwest County is one point above Penybont. Terrible second round for Haverfordwest County with 3 draws and 2 defeats so far.

The difference between TNS and the rest of the league is embarassing.

TNS have finished at least 20 points ahead of the second-position club during the past 3 seasons.

The last time that there was proper competition was 2019-21 when Connah's Quay were champions. Before that TNS finished about 10 points ahead of the second-position club.

Newtown 2–0 Cardiff MU

Most European positions are more-or-less decided in Cymru Premier; I don’t see much changing until the end:
The New Saints CL-Q1
Connah's Quay Nomads ECL-Q1
Bala Town ECL-Q1
Caernarfon Town or Newtown or Cardiff MU or Haverfordwest County or Penybont FC ECL-Q1

Borac won away against Zrinjski and increased the lead to 12 points with 11 rounds to go.

Leverkusen - Qarabag 3:2, so Qarabag are out, but how? they're again 2:0 up, but after a red card they've shipped 2 goals after 90 minutes. It would have been one of the biggest upsets in European football history, but it was not to be. :(

I was surprised to see that 40-year old French MF Mathieu Valbuena is still active and plays for Apollon Limassol in Cyprus.

Isloč-Dinamo B 1:1
Slavia-Dnepr 2:0
Minsk-BATE 0:1
Neman-Naftan 2:1
Dinamo M-Smorgon 5:0
Arsenal-Torpedo BelAZ 0:1
Sluck-Gomel 1:1
Šahter-Vitebsk 1:0

The first round was mostly boring and I also lost an interest in this league a bit after everything that happened in second level lately. Which is a shame in a way, because namewise the league has almost never been stronger. With Vitebsk and Dnepr most of the big clubs are here (only Torpedo and maybe Belšina are missing) and we finally got rid of Energetik. However there were no really interesting clashes last weekend. In Minsk not much happened in the first half. After the break Panjukov (ex DInamo, Zenit, Ural...) scored for 0:1 with a precise shot and BATE had everything under control until they gave away a stupid penalty some ten minutes before the end. Minsk had a great chance to grab a point, but the keeper saved it. Dinamo Minsk scored five goals, while Neman and Šahter also won as expected.

Cymru Premier:

Connah's Quay 0-0 Newtown. Connah’s Quay seems to try to avoid qualifying for ECL-Q1...

Barry Town United 0-0 Penybont
Pontypridd United 0-1 Haverfordwest County
Colwyn Bay 1-2 Aberystwyth Town
Big win for Aberystwyth Town and they overtake Pontypridd United in the relegation battle.
Big win for Haverfordwest County and they are now three points ahead of Penybont in the battle for the last ECL-Q1 play-off position.
Sixth consecutive draw for Barry Town United!

Colwyn Bay vs Pontypridd United on April 6th; last chance for Colwyn Bay to avoid relegation!
