I predict an easy 0-0-3 for them.
Who cares? This CR team is way past their prime, just as Panama was in 2018. Just being there was the goal and it's an achievement.

I can't believe I have to defend ticos from salty Europeans. We usually hate them.
New Zealand is the minnow I expected to shithouse, and instead they are the ones who tried to play.
What does Europe have to do with this tie?

Too much white boy whining.
I have no idea what you mean by this. Why wouldn't FIFA want Costa Rica in? You gonna market the World Cup with Chris Wood?
I was being sarcastic, my friend. :grin1:

Well, everyone here is European, and I'm under the impression that there's a natural bias towards NZ because they're the more European side from the two.

Other than that, nothing. Plus, the "salty" part was not exactly directed at you.

Qatar instead of Russia
Ghana instead of Nigeria

USA instead of Peru
Netherlands instead of Sweden
Wales instead of Iceland

159 days left until the World Cup starts. :D

Regarding Barbarouses' red card...

The red card is crystal clear, and one of the rare occasions where videoclownery was used properly.

I feel sorry that New Zealand can't play the World Cup too, but Costa Rica won fair and square.

In 2026, OFC will finally have a direct spot in the World Cup, so hopefully New Zealand will get it.

if they don't get it they really don't deserve to go to the WC because their only difficulty is to defeat teams like Salomon Islands, New Caledonia, papouasia New Guinea just to name their best opponents as per the FIFA ranking
Don't forget to post your predictions for the new season
