@Lyonnais:
Fun fact--a propos of almost nothing , there has been some controversy about the correct spelling and pronunciation of Iago Falque's surname. When Iago himself was asked, he said that the correct spelling has no accent mark, which of course changes which syllable is stressed in pronunciation in Spanish. It's a slow news day, so I just thought I'd pass that on.

Thanks Alan for the precision!AlanK wrote:@Lyonnais:

A minimalist logo will be appreciated in new markets such as Asia and Africa.

I think this is the thought all over "football Europe."
No idea about how the reaction is in "football Afrika" and "football Asia". But one could ask which direction the football is in, if the African and Asian market are more important then Italy for an Italien club.
And the UEFA president suggestion playing CL final in New York, Dubai, Shanghai etc.
Any indication or a marketing/branding expert telling about this is actually true, higher chance of recognition in this areas?

Well, you probably know how much I hate them, but as a logo itself it's kinda ok to me. Also, if you change the "J" in a "j" with two dots and turn it anti-clockwise, you get something like the A-Style logo .matt wrote:They are saying that it's a tactical marketing operation, in order to expand the brand. Anyway, of course, as a football logo it's terrible - even if you pretend it's another team .

Napoli - Atalanta 0:2, bad news for Milan that Atalanta look like being serious wanting to play in Europe. No wonder it has been 26 years last time they`ve showed up.
https://video.repubblica.it/sport/l-ata ... 857/269290
Atalanta fans yesterday night at the airport, waiting for the team.
Media and some fans (of other clubs too) started to think they are a Cl contender. Enthusiasm is at maximum. I'm much more cautious and still think that even an El place is still difficult, because Lazio, Inter and Milan this year don't lose many points with the mid-table sides. I think that below 65 points isn't enough for 6th place and Europe.
One among Atalanta, Inter, Lazio and Milan won't play in Europe.
Pescara, Crotone and Palermo will go in Serie B at 99% (their level is so low that this year there wasn't a relegation battle at all).
Spal (i remember someone mentioned them here, maybe you, bugylibicska?) are at the moment second in Serie B, in a direct promotion spot (last year they were in the third division!).

I like this stuff, thanks. So, that`s how Bergamo celebrated their favourite sons, nice. I agree with you, Milan are a giant compared to Atalanta and they`re still the underdogs, but if there`s a spirit and will...Spal, yes I mentioned them once, a team from my youth. Good news for Ferrara!

Francesco Totti (40) now has the 3rd highest number of apps in Serie A with 615! From 1994 until 2015 he had more than 20 apps in Serie A per season! Paolo Maldini has 647 and Gianluigi Boufon 617! He is also the 2nd highest goal scorer with 250 goals after Silvio Piola (274)!

Atalanta 7 points above Internazionale and now Milan are losing at home against Empoli! The Bergamo side is closer and closer to the EL!
